thanks again

Hi linnielass,:goodvibes

we always chose a spot in Fantasyland, near the Pizzeria Bella Notte, it was always less crowded than Main Street and we had a good view. I have not been to DLP at this time of the year so I can`t help with when to get to your viewing point:confused3

Like Steph we also endorse the area outside Belle Notte.

Another fabulous place to stand and get a different, raised view of the parades in from the railings above the entrance in the railway station.

We got the spot that Mickey uses to wave goodnight when the park closes and you were just about the same level as the top of the floats.

You now have a good excuse to watch the parade twice :cool1:

we found a good place which was up the enterance ramp of "It's a Small World". It was great as it was above the crowds and my kiids (2 & 4) could stand against the railings so that they could see and I knew that they couldn't fall under the wheels of a coming float!!!

We too stood in Fantasyland last week. We were close to the Bella Notte restaurant which has toilets next to it, v useful with the little ones waiting. We were slightly further down next to the 2 big pink pillars/turrets (easy to spot on the map) Great because people couldn't push from behind and a lot of other people who'd waited in Fantasyland were closer to the gates the floats came out from so it seemed to be one of the quietest spots.

We arrived about 45 min early but could have left it later, however that was midweek so for a Sat its prob worth getting an early spot but taking things to keep your kids occupied while they wait.

Also if you choose the right side of the road from here any photos will have a nice view of It's a Small World as their background :)

The first 2 rows of the castle stage seating area are reserved for children so if you can sit in row 3 your children can sit in front of you in row 2. Once the parade starts though it's a bit of a free for all and people tend to move forwards into the empty spaces in rows 1 and 2, so be ready and if there is still space free in front of you move into it.:)

sometimes we stand at the main street railway curb side, its quite a good area. you will have to get there in good time tho, we tend to get there about half an hour to 40 mins before, even if theres not many others there, simply because once people starting coming it will get difficult to secure a place
hope this helps

I also like to stand around the Pizzeria Bella Notte, usually, there aren't too many people out there.

However: if you are talking about Saturday March 31: Disney told me it's a huge press event day, and many places will be reserved for the press; So, if I were you, I would keep this in mind and find a spot early on!

I would second this, I was there saturday 24th, and it was packed, I would try and get a spot at least an hour before the parade. Maybe get some snacks for your kids before hand to keep them busy while you wait.

Also I would recomend you get to Fantasyland as soon as the park opens if you want to go on the rides here, some queues were almost 2 hours long by 11.30am(park open at 9.00am) with fastpasses going very quickly.

Great tips! Thanks for starting this topic.

We are going on April 1st and will probably be in the park on the 2nd and the 3rd. Can't wait to see the parade!:yay:

we too stood by the gates where the parade started it was less crowded but how does this sound for crazy we used to follow the parade up when the last float past us cut through the arcade on the left side up the back of main street and then at the top at the photo shop we used to watch it all again...........crazy i know but it was good and by the time we got there the first float would just be arriving gave the opportunity to catch all the photos you missed first time when they were looking the other way

I think we'll watch the parade on Friday and give it a miss on Saturday, hopefully we'll get on some of the rides whilst everyone else is watching the parade.:)
