where would you recommend?

In November I could stay at the Disneyland Hotel, or off property at the Candy Cane Inn. Which would be best? I have spent time reviewing both places. DH gets mixed reviews, but I can't help but want a Disney property. CCI gets great rewiews, but isn't on property. I'd love your suggestions please!

I've never stayed at the CCI, but have stayed at the DLH a few times! My family loves the DLH. There is something just so magical about being on property. Plus, if you get a DTD view room, it is so nice to sit and look out at all the activity going on! It's a nice hotel.

I have a friend that always stays at the CCI and she and her family love it there! Either way I think you will be just fine!

I have stayed at both and while the Candy Cane Inn is a nice motel with pretty rooms, a good free breakfast and a decent price, the Disneyland Hotel is a much different feel. It is more spectacular. You always feel like you are at Disney. Most of the rooms are very spacious and decorated in a classy but fun manner. Many of the views from the rooms are expansive and pretty. If money is a real issue the Candy Cane Inn is a great substitute for the Disneyland Hotel though. The walks to the parks are about the same from both places but the Candy Cane Inn has private shuttle that is super convenient. The walk from the Disneyland hotel to the Monorail Station is easy but that doesn't get you to DCA. But still the walk through Downtown Disney is nice, and better than walking along Harbo Blvd.
Either place would be fine but if you can afford the Disneyland Hotel I would go for it.

If you can swing it, then the Disneyland Hotel is a nicer choice than Candy Cane Inn - there are Disney touches, the grounds are nice, and you never have to leave the magic...
