Where would you head first - 4 yr old dd?

Where would you head first in MK with 4 year old dd? Her first trip and my first since I was 10 yr old - and I ain't no spring chicken!!!

Peter Pan's Flight
Pooh
Dumbo
Mickey's Philharmagic
then on to Toontown

Just my opinion, though.

YUP that's what I would do also. Not to mention it's good to get to those rides first thing in the morning before they get crowded.

our dd was 3.5 our last trip and we headed straight to Fantasyland in the back of the park!!! Toontown was our second stop. She still talks about going on Its A Small World and Peter Pans flight as some of her favorite attractions. Also, if your dd is a princess fan like mine, seeing Ariel is a big deal and the lines can get really long later in the day!!!

First head to toon town. FantasyLand is always the busiest when the park first opens. Mickey and Minnie are in toontown in the morning too :thewave: :space:

Toontown doesn't open til 10 though -

I took my 4 year old niece this summer and we went to MK on an early entry morning and went straight to Fantasyland doing Dumbo first, Peter Pan, the carousel, Mickey's Philarmagic....all of this just before 9...

headed then to the teacups, saw a couple of characters, over to Tomorrowland where we did Buzz, met with him and did Carousel of Progress and got to Toontown when it opened at 10!

It was an awesome morning!

If I was taking a 4yo, I would do like everyone else stated.....head straight for Fantasyland. Do Dumbo and Peter Pan as early as possible.

Fantsy land, it really fills up fast. We always do dumbo 1st, it was DD 1st ride when she was 9 months old and since then we always go their 1st. It helps that the line fills up fast and no FP for it. You can get most of FL done before it gets too busy, then leave and hit other places on the park.

One hint, we always mean to get to Tom Sawer Island and havn't yet. It should be a great place for young kids to run and let off steam. It can be a pain to get to because of the raft to get there. I think your 4 year old would love it and we are going to make it there this trip with our 4 year old DD (and her best friend who is the same age.)

Another vote for Fantasyland, doing Dumbo FIRST, then Peter Pan. I also believe Peter Pan has FastPass, so you could grab a FP for that while you go on Small World and Philharmagic. Pooh also has FP. I personally would do this:
Dumbo
Peter Pan
Pooh
Teacups
Carousel
Small World
Philharmagic
And then head over to Toon Town.

Skip Snow White if she is at all afraid of the dark or scary things. That witch keeps popping out of nowhere and it's intimidating!

I agree with Fantasyland, but I would hit Tommorowland next. My kids LOVE the Tommorowland Speedway(like go carts) not a fancy ride but it is one of their favorites and the line is very slow moving later in the day. Also Buzz Lightyear is over there. Another hit with that age group!

Another vote for Fantasyland! Make sure you get there a little before park opening.

Also, keep in mind that Ariel's Grotto usually opens around 9:30 and Toontown at 10:00.

When you get to Toon Town ride Goofy's Rollercoaster first and then head for the characters. Also, a nice thing to do when you are done Toon Town is to head for Fairytale Garden to watch Belle and Beauty of the Beast. I think 4 is a wonderful age to Disney.

Another vote for Fantasyland. We are taking our 3 almost four year old son in Oct and that is the first place we are heading. Dumbo and Pooh are our first stops. Then Peter Pan and the rest. Hopefully, for both you and me the PArks will have the extra morning hour in MK on that day. FINGERS CROSSED...

Lucky you Libba. We took our 4 year old grandson in September. We headed for fantasyland and did dumbo, peter pan, snow white, Mickey's Philharmagic and Pooh all within about 1-1/2 hours. He loved them all (including Snow White). We just warned him that there would be LOTS of surprises and no need to be scared. We had the best time ever. He had so much fun...he still talks about our trip and when can we go back. He told us one day that it was the best time he has ever had in his WHOLE LIFE! I think it was the best time his grandma & grandpa had in their whole lives too. Now we get to keep making plans for each and every grandchild as they get older.

On our first trip to Disney, our son was 4. We headed straight to Fantasyland to the Snow White's Scary Adventures. It did scare him - after that he didn't want to go on any ride "in the dark." (including the shows).

You may not want to take him on that at first - or maybe not at all.

You need to get to Fantasyland and get on Dumbo FIRST!! Then hit Pooh, Pan (Snow-if you DD can handle it) and Tea Cups. TTF probably won't be open till 10...so, go to Tomorrowland and do Buzz and such.

First head to toon town. FantasyLand is always the busiest when the park first opens. Mickey and Minnie are in toontown in the morning

---To disneyboy---Fantasyland is busy first thing in the morning, but it is probably the least busy time of the entire day (except right before closing when little ones are zonked!) We always advise to hit Fantasyland first because of just opening, the lines aren't nearly as bad/long as later....and the heat of the afternoon in some of those lines is too much! and just so you are aware....Mickey and Minnie are always in TTF....Mick has his own tent while Minnie shares one. The queues are inside, so they aren't too bad. We do recommend you get there between 10-12 because it can get crowded!!

as you enter and head around the first hub to enter Main Street have an adult go a little ahead and get ready to take a photo...walk the little one with her eyes shut to the center of Main Steet so she has a straight on view of the castle and tell her to open her eyes and snap a picture of the biggest smile you will ever see.... PRICELESS

Fantasyland for sure! Dumbo's Flight, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, and Snow White! Disney magic for a 4 year old at its BEST!!!!!!!!

Ditto (for us) the same thing said above- except maybe go to TomorrowLand before ToonTown if time allows before Toon Town is open. That's the 2nd favorite area for my youngest daughter.
