Where would you eat Christmas Dinner

I've planned a last minute trip to Disney World during the Christmas Holiday and don't know what to do about Christmas dinner. We would like the traditional meal - turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc. on Christmas day and wonder if anyone can suggest a reasonably priced place for us to eat, outside of the theme parks, but possibly within the Disney resort area. It would be me, DH, 2DD's and one DS.

All suggestions are appreciated. I don't wanna break the bank, but would prefer a place that offers Priority seating so we know exactly when we're going to eat.

Thanks.

I think your best bet would be to call wdw-dine and have them run through the list of restaurants that even have seats available for Christmas day. Deb Willis has a list of those places that are offering holiday menu's, so you might want to have that in front of you when you call. If all else fails, the Trails End Restaurant in Fort Wilderness will have a buffet of holiday items available and they don't take priority seating. It's walk up only. I thought on a recent thread, that someone had called and only Boatwrights or the Garden Grill had anything open for that day.

We are having Christmas dinner at Gullivers which is located in the Swan Hotel. They are serving a traditional Christmas buffet. The menu is posted on the Swan/Dolphin website. Reservations are required, the price is $29.95pp. :D

We're eating at Cape May Cafe. When I called a few weeks ago, there weren't many restaurants available at the time I wanted.

How about Trail's End at Fort Wilderness. They don't take PS, which may be a problem, but it won't break the bank and I'm sure they'll have traditional holiday offerings on the buffet. Maybe you could try starting a thread on the Restaurant or Camping board, asking for estimated wait times on Christmas Day. Have a great trip, maybe we see you there. :wave2:

I thought I'd add that we are eating Christmas dinner at Dixie Stampede, in case you want to check into that.

Thanks to everyone for the information. The list of restaurants is especially helpful.

Now to decide ... I know I'm running out of time.

I made a PS at Spoodles. I originally had made it for Ohana because I saw on another list that they had a Christmas offering that would be served family style, but the CM told me that she didn't see that on her list. So I called them, and they said, nope. That they were probably one of the few restaurants that weren't offering a Christmas menu. I was really looking forward to seeing the Polynesian resort since we can't afford to stay there :guilty: oh, well.

Because there are five of us, we will be split among two tables at Spoodles. Otherwise, we wouldn't be able to have dinner until 9 p.m.

If we're lucky, maybe they won't split us up. I remember being told we'd have to be at two tables before, but they sat us all at the same table.

I can't wait. I'm counting the days.

Just FYI - yesterday, WDW-Dine told me on two different occasions that Spoodles is not serving Christmas dinner (turkey, stuffing, potatoes) They are serving from their menu only.

Better call fast. I called today looking for a buffet and there was not many choices. Chef Mickeys had no PS, nor did 1900 Park Fair at GF, C.Palace had 1 ressie at 9:30 pm. Ended up with Hollywood and Vine. Never eaten there so it will be a new experience.
