Coming to WDW in November with 2 kids, 6 year old daughter and 3 year old son. Before selecting what resort to stay at, I am trying to figure out which parks we will be at most of the time. I am assuming they will want to visit MK most of the time, so I am leaning towards those resorts. They love rides and bore easily so the other three parks might not go over well. Any suggestions?

Before selecting what resort to stay at...

Is the proximity to the park your only concern.. or budget as well?

Hi,

Your kids bore easily??

I have a DD9 who does bore easily in restaurants, "Can we go now...??" "Can we go now??" (This is after 3 bites...) but she never bores of any of the parks or the hotel - she would live in the pool!

MK is definately great for the kids.. but my DD's favourite is Animal Kingdom and I recommend the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Good Luck planning

We love the Contemporary. It has the monorail going through, and a convenient walkway to MK. Will they be spending time at the pool? I understand that the Poly and Grand Floridian have updated their pools, so that might be a consideration. With kids that young, I would think an MK area resort would be best if money is not an option.

If I was to go with another resort with kids that young, it would be All Star Movies. Not as many deluxe options (food court instead of restaurant, no room service, stuff like that) but the huge icons are fun for the kids.

Actually, I'm not too concerned with what resort right now, I'm trying to get a feel for where my kids are going to want to spend their park time. We will coming down for 5 days, one day probably just to swim and/or relax, and the other four days for visiting the parks. Will they go to MK and then hate all the other parks? Will they consider AK just like another zoo, and will they keep an interest in Epcot? I know all kids are different, but I am just trying to get a general feel for what most kids that age are going to want to do.

My kids are 6 and 4 and they love MK. and...I love MK too! If you dont have an AP (annual pass), get a PH (park hopper) pass for 5 days. This way you can take your kids to all the parks and they don't like it..then hop again to a different park. You won't know what they want...and they won't know what they want until they try all the parks. I know what my kids wants cause I have taken them to all the parks...except AK. But for what I can tell from my kids...they will stick with MK cause Buzz ride is there and a lot of great rides for the kids. I am sure my kids will like AK too.

My suggestion:
Buy 5 day PH and hop to different parks. Then you will know park they like the most. Enjoy!! :)

I have 2 DS ages 12 and 5 and what I did was go in this order to the parks, mostly because I knew that if we went to MK first then we might never get to another park!
We did AK, MGM, MK, Epcot, our last day in the parks we did MGM/MK.

Okay, it looks like most of our park time will be at MK. However, I really don't like any of the MK resorts for our needs (party of six who don't want to be isolated). How easy( or hard) is it to commute in the morning from an Epcot resort to MK, we will have a car available.
