Where will Princess Tiana be

She is not currently appearing at any restaurants, nor is there any indication right now that she will be. I think that as long as she is the new big thing, she won't show up at the meals until they figure out what kind of staying power she has.

Tiana has her own meet & greet at Magic Kingdom if you want to meet her.

She was in the flower garden area in front of the castle in october. We tried to join the line more than once but were told it was closed so it seemed to be very short time scale. We were told she was more likely to be found there in an afternoon. She is very pretty and her dress beautiful. We were also told that currently like Pocahontas she doesn't appear at any meal.

We found Tiana and the Prince in the garden near the castle (adventureland side)

As currently scheduled the meeting with Princess Tiana is also scheduled to end early in January - like the 8th or something.

That stinks! We're going in February and I hope we get to see her! We just got home from seeing the movie and it was awesome! I'm a huge fan!

we saw her and Prince Naveen yesterday in the garden near the Liberty Tree Christmas Shop--they told us that they come bwtn the showboat shows but no said anything about how long she would be in the parks... The showboat show is supposed to end soon though.

We saw the movie today, too. It is EXCELLENT - music, story, animation, everything. I highly recommend it for all ages!

We loved the showboat show when we were there last week. The best place to watch it is the bridge in front of Splash Mountain here are some pictures and links to a few short video clips of the show:

Won't it be great is Disney opened a Tiana's Place restaurant in the space formerly occupied by Bonfamille's at Port Orleans French Quarter?

I saw the Princess and the Frog movie on opening weekend and the look of the restaurant in the movie would perfectly match the look of the existing space at FQ. For too many years FQ has lacked a full service restaurant and with the continued popularity of the dining plan this would be a great opportunity to use that space.

It's probably too much to ask and I'm sure Disney would not offer princess dining at a moderate resort but we can dream.

It'd be nice to have a character meal at a mod resort. I think it's a charming idea.

That would be great! Just a side note, did you notice in the movie, I thought when she opened the restaurant it was actually called "Tiana's Palace"? Or did I see that wrong.

I think you're right, I noticed it too. In the earlier "dreaming" of it and on the picture it was Tiana's Place and then when it actually opened and she was a princess it was "Tiana's Palace".

I would love to see that. I think that a sit-down restaurant is the only thing that POFQ lacks right now, and it would be ideal for some The Princess and the Frog theming. Even if it doesn't come to POFQ, though, I think a Tiana restaurant should go to some Disney property. Perhaps it could replace the lackluster Café Orleans at New Orleans Square in Disneyland.

I just returned from POFQ a week ago and thought the very same thing-perfect place for a Tiana character meal!

I know there's nothing official - but I think that they really have to incorporate Tiana into either Princess Storybook Dining or Cinderella's Royal Table.

For years, there's been a lot of bad feelings within the black community about the princess franchise and its lack of diversity. Belle, Ariel, Snow White and Cinderella are all white girls. I think Disney would really be remiss if they just let her slide by and didn't put her into that franchise, too.

I really like the idea of giving her a character meal at Port Orleans French Quarter's vacant table service location, though! :)

I think Princess Tiana should go to CRT and they should keep either Belle or Jasmine at Akershus.

I doubt seriously they will establish a character meal (especially a breakfast) in a resort off the beaten path like POFQ. The transportation situation is too difficult. Lunch doesn't pull in enough patrons as most guests prefer to stay in parks then or travel to either resorts close to parks or their own resort. Maybe a dinner, but Disney would have to be certain that guests would be willing to leave the parks and travel on the buses to go see Tiana.

I would expect that Tiana will eventually show up in at least one of the princess meal rotations (CRT or Akershus).

I think there's a reason why all the current character meals are either inside theme parks or in resorts very close to theme parks.

I've never actually been to what used to be Bonfamille's - but the French Quarter is a small resort, and was built as a stand-alone resort - not part of what is now the entire "Port Orleans" resort, encompassing the French Quarter and Riverside. This would lead me to believe that it's a relatively small restaurant.

Between the two Port Orleans Resorts, there's a touch over 3,000 rooms. That's more rooms than any other Disney resort. And it's only a boat ride away from Downtown Disney. I think there's probably more potential there than one might think. I agree that character meals are strategically located - but at the same time, it becomes a big selling point for Port Orleans. Which already has a strong selling point in that it's the only resort with non-suite accommodations that will hold 5 in a room.

I also agree that I don't think anything will ever materialize. But at the same time, I don't think it's an over-the-top idea to throw around.

Frankly, though, my wish is that they do add her to the princess franchise and everything that goes with it; the prominence of adding her to the meal at Cinderella's Royal Table, or Princess Storybook Dining and giving her the same kind of merchandising and meet and greet opportunities. And I don't mean as a stand alone - I mean as part of the "Princesses" franchise.
