For all of you who just got back..... How did you spend your time while it poured?

Probably our most remembered part of being at MK, (other than SpectroMagic and the fireworks) will be all the trips around Tomorrowland we did on TTA while the rain came pouring down! On two different days, too. For my DS12, it is now his favorite ride! ("Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow") Also the 4" deep puddle at the bottom of the escalator. Hooray for sandals!

At Epcot, we had just gotten our Kaki Gori's (as suggested by those on these boards!) when it started to rain, so we ran up to the Yakitori House restaurant and stood under the eaves until the blowing wind chased us indoors. My DD9 was happy they had hot chocolate!

We had our ponchos, (Maid of the Mist ones) and only wore them when absolutely necessary.

Can't wait to go back next year. We'll be ready for anything!

Lynn

Hi, we just got back we were there the 2-9th. The one and only time I left the back pack on the stroller was at Animal Kingdom on Thurs while we went to see its tough to be a bug, sun was shining when we got in line. about half way through downpour we were stuck outside in the line for about 15 min in it, where were the ponches? in the backpack of course:p

I hope you had a great time in spite of the rain......and welcome to the Dis Lynn.... hope you post a trip report of your vacation..

I wasn't at WDW recently, but EVERY trip we've taken there in the past several years it's rained constantly. I always warn other DISers not to schedule their trips when we're going to be there - we bring rain with us apparently.;)

I've found it's completely possible to have fun despite constant rain. You just have to be prepared. Most important - don't wear sneakers!;)

When the rain came we were on BTMRR. It was not raining at all when we got on, in the middle of the ride it poured so hard we had to keep our eyes closed. by the time we got off we looked like we had gone swimming with our clothes on.

Must have been the same night we rode BTMR. Rain started as we were going down the first hill. Had to keep my eyes closed and boy do those rain pellets hurt!:earseek:

We'll be in WDW at the end of this week. What's the current forecast for this week?

2 more days for our land/sea vacation!!

According to weather.com, the chance of rain is decreasing slowly as the month goes on. Check it out - just type in Orlando at the top of the page.:D

2 more days for our land/sea vacation!!

Oh no! I wish I had known that sooner! :p :sunny:

I guess we'll deal with it the best we can. This summer has been sooooooo rainy, I think we're getting used to it.

Day 1---We just arrived at BB, kids did a few kiddie slides, then the rain came. They closed the slides and pools "temporaily", so we stayed around and waited for an hour and half, only to finally be told that they were closing for good (~3 pm).

Day 2---Inside the Tree watching ITTBAB (~ 3 pm).

Day 3---Watching Indiana Jones show (~4 pm).

Day 4---At AMC24 watching Lara Croft (~5 pm).

Day 5---During the FW Campfire program (~8 pm).

Day 6---Immediately after sitting down at Teppanyaki for lunch (~12 noon), and later when on board the boat from FW to MK (~7 pm).

Day 7---No rain on us, although there were plenty of dark clouds around us.
