How about a Disney food report? 3 adults, me, dh and my mom
5/20 Thurs - Mama Melrose at MGM
GREAT Italian food! They bring out warm bread with basil olive oil and sun dried tomato olive oil to start. Drooool. For an appetizer, we shared a thin crust flat bread pizza with asagio cheese, tomatoes and basil. Mom and I both had the linguine fra diavolo, which was yummy but too spicy. Still enjoyable. Kevin had the chicken cutlet parmigan which was great. We all had the chocolate gelato for dessert. We did the fantasmic dinner package, so we got priority seating for the show. Total w/ tip about $85
5/21 Fri - Cali Grill at the Contemporary
Kevin and I both had a glass of merlot, while Mom had 2 glasses reisling. I started off with the peeky toe crab california roll which was amazing! Kevin had the romaine heart salad (which was basically an expensive ceasar salad  ) Mom had the mussels in some kind of garlic broth which she really enjoyed. Mom and I both had the NY strip steak which was cooked to perfection and served with purple potatos and cooked arugula. Kevin had the tamarind beef filet with asparagus and some sort of potato. All were excellent! Dessert was rice pudding for Kevin, molton chocolate cake (the kind w/ the melty, oozy center) w/ raspberry ice cream and a cup of coffee for mom and a caramel apple tart w/ ice cream for me. I was wearing my birthday button and they put a little piece of chocolate on my plate that said "Happy Birthday from the California Grill". Total for 3 with tip $250. Pricey, but well worth it. Brian was our server.
5/22 Sat - 'Ohana
If I have anything to say about this place, it's get the Island Sunset drink! I had one on our honeymoon and fell in love. Had 2 this time! Mom had 2 pinas and Kev had a lapu lapu (nasty - no taste other than booze, but it was served in a pineapple!) Another family style place. The starters were green beans, coriander wings, shrimp dumplings and salad. 3 dipping sauces - peanut butter, fruit (pineapple) and ginger cilantro. Then they bring around skewers of fire roasted meat - pork, turkey, beef and shrimp. Dessert is pineapple w/ a caramel dipping sauce. Not sure of the tab on this one, but w/ all the drinks, I'm sure it broke $100. Mom wasn't feeling well prior to this meal, so we didn't enjoy it as much as we normall do.
5/23 Sun - Liberty Tree Tavern
This is served family style. First up is bread with a yummy, sweet honey butter. Then salad w/ a strawberry vinagrette. The entree is mashed potatoes, the best stuffing we've ever had, green beans, mac and cheese, roast turkey breast, ham, and flank steak. Oh, and cranberry sauce! IMHO, this was the best meal of the week. Dessert was a warm apple cobbler w/ vanilla ice cream. Minnie, Chip & Dale were there. Total w/ tip for 3 about $85
5/24 Mon - 50's Prime Time Cafe at MGM
Mom and I both had the clam po' boy sandwich, which was great. Kev had the classic meatloaf which is two thumbs up. Kev had a beer, mom had a coke float and I stuck with a soda. Dessert was the amazing s'mores - you must try these if you go there! I'm not sure what the bill was here, I'd say probably in the $80-90 range
Most of our other meals were at the Pepper Market at CSR. Great breakfast burritos, mickey waffles, soft tacos, prime rib sandwiches, shrimp and tuna saland, ceasar salad and turkey club sandwiches. Breakfasts ran in the $15-20 range for 3. Lunches maybe $25-35 for 3. 2 frozen drinks at the pool bar $15 w/tip, 3 frozen drinks at Francisco's $25 w/ tip.
