Cast of characters: Me and DH.
One night at ASsports and the other 3 at the Contemporary 14th floor. We were not on the dining plan.
We arrived at dinnertime on Friday night so after picking up the rental car DH wanted to go to the Steak & Ale for dinner. It was very good.
Saturday: breakfast we ate at the food court, it was ok. I had a mickey waffle and DH had the eggs breakfast.
I can't remember where we had lunch, I think it was just a snack before heading to the CR.
Dinner was at Shula's, unbelievable as usual. We had a nice bottle of Sonoma Cutrer "Les Pierre" chardonney and I had the cowboy steak cooked perfectly medium rare. DH started with the jumbo shrimp and boy were they jumbo then he also had the cowboy steak. We shared (and only ate about 1/3) a potato pancake. Dessert was the chocolate souffle
We waddled out of the Dolphin and walked the Boardwalk to help digest dinner.
Sunday: breakfast in the CL, nice selection of pastry and fruits. Lunch was at Typhoon Lagoon, typical fast food.
Dinner was at Citrico's, our first time there. We had a nice table by the window overlooking the marina. We each had a glass on wine and for an appetizer we tried the arancini which was risotto that was crisy and filled with mozzarella and sausage. It was in a red sauce, very good but filling. DH had the swordfish which he said was very good. I had the chicken and that too was real good. We were to full for dessert. We actually got some desserts in the CL and ate them while watching Wishes.
Monday: breakfast in the CL. Lunch was at Pinocchio's, I tried the italian cold cut sandwich and it was pretty good. DH had the chicken strips, ok.
Dinner was at Portobello Yacht Club with friends. OMG did we eat that night. We shared the bruschetta and margarita pizza to start. The bread and roasted garlic they bring was so good too! We then had salads, ceasar and house, both were really nice. Dinner was the lamb chops for Janet, scallops and pasta for Mike, shrimp and pasta for DH and I had a pasta in cream sauce dish. Everything was fantastic. We also had wine and beer for the guys. I skipped dessert but DH had the creme brulee which I tasted and it was yummy. Mike and Janet both had the chocolate cake which was huge and they said very good.
Tuesday: breakfast in the CL. We decided to have a late lunch because we were flying home at 6:00 pm. We went to 50's Prime Time, there was a wait so we ate at the bar. I had fried chicken and DH had to pot roast. Food came very fast and was good. A good and fun meal to have before heading home.
We ate very well this trip even though we didn't do the dining plan.
