Where to upgrade tickets

I will be upgrading my one day base ticket to either a 3 day base, or an annual pass (haven't decided yet). Either way, I was wondering where this can be done. I assume it can be done at the park ticket windows, right? But what about if you are staying on property---can I do it at my hotel at the front desk? I figure that might be easier.
Thanks!!

1- I assume it can be done at the park ticket windows, right? But what about if you are staying on property--

2- -can I do it at my hotel at the front desk?

1- Yes.

2- At any WDW resort's concierge desk, you can upgrade to any ticket EXCEPT an AP.
(Although this MAY be changing, and AP's MIGHT be available at the resorts.
If not now, in the near future.)

Anything related to Park tickets can be done at any of the following locations:

Any Park (including Water Parks) ticket booth. This includes the TTC.

Any Guest Relations Office (GRO) outside the parks. This includes the Water Parks, TTC and DTD.

Any GRO inside the Parks.

Guest Services/Concierge in the Resorts; however they cannot do anything related to Annual Passes other than sell a brand new pass (no upgrades, renewals, or MPP).

This includes "will-call", upgrading any tickets, replacing any tickets, converting an AP
voucher to an AP, or selling an AP.

Anything that can be done related to tickets at a GRO can also be done at a regular ticket window. The ticket windows cannot do things such as make reservations, unscramble problems related to room keys, or handle Lost and Found or Guest Recovery.

At each Park there will always be at least one ticket window and one outside Guest Relations Office open at least 30 minutes prior to the first Guest being allowed into the Park. This takes into consideration both Morning EMH as well as any pre-opening restaurant reservations. Also, the Guest Relations Office will be open for at least 30 minutes after scheduled Park closing (and this takes into account both Evening EMH as well as any after-hours parties).

Thank you!
Now, what if I decided that I wanted to upgrade once I get home? I know you have up to 14 days after use to upgrade, but does it have to be done at WDW, or can it be done from home?

And ONE other question I have, on top of the one I just posted, is what if I decide to take a trip to Disney before the one I just booked in August? Would I be able to apply the tickets I bought for the August trip towards an annual pass upgrade if I go in, say, May?

You can only pick up "Package Tickets" up to 3 days in advance of your reservation.

If you are already in possession of a new, unused ticket (or wish to buy one when you get to WDW,) then yes, you can upgrade it at any time.

Since my boyfriend and I purchased our tickets as a package, we both had to get the same tickets initially. However, I plan to spend one more day in the parks than him---so its okay for us to upgrade our tickets differently once we are there right? So can I upgrade to a 3 day (or maybe a 4 day) and he upgrade to a 2 day, even though we are part of the same package?

1- Yes.

2- Yes. Once you have the tickets in your hand, each can be upgraded individually.

We stayed at the AKL last Feb. and wanted to add 1 more day to our 7 day tickets. We were able to do it at the hotel's front desk. We were told that we could add days (or park hoppers) at any time up until the final day on the tickets had been activated by entering a park (so we had to do it before going to the parks on that 7th day). So, you should be able to do it at your hotel as long as you do it before heading out to the park and activating your 1 day ticket. You cannot add days once it has been used.

1- True.
2- True.
3- Not true.
4- True.
5- Untrue.
6- Sorry, but that is simply untrue.

You can upgrade any ticket within 14 days of that ticket's first use.
You CAN upgrade a "fully used up" ticket, as long as it is within those 14 days.

Thanks Chesire Figment!!

It must be within the same 14 day window, but if you call WDW Guest Relations they might just take down all of your information and set up a special account that can be accessed the next time you're at WDW, and the tickets could be upgraded at that time.

Alternately, in some cases, they might request that you send them your tickets, and they will do the upgrade, when they get the tickets, via your credit card. Then they would send your upgraded tickets back to you.

I think CF posted how they may do it and I think it involved overnighting the tickets so GS had them in their hands before they expired, but it going to be a lot easier to just make up your mind before you leave.

And it is not Guest Services, which is a very generic term. The only office that can do this is Ticket Services. And TS is not the people at reservations who sell tickets over the phone.
