where to take in law food snobs?

Kae--in Naples they like the dining room at the Ritz-Carlton and also the Sign of the Vine. Also some italian place on 5th I can't remember.

I went on a girl's trip to WDW last year--we were all from San Francisco or NYC--both food towns. Some of my friends are food snobs. Anyway, we ate at Jiko and everyone loved it so much that we went back for a second time. The filet was wonderful.

at the Hard Rock Hotel

We were comped for a dinner there when Universal came close to killing our nut-allergic son with hidden nuts. amazing steak. amazing prices

Thanks for all of the great advice everyone--Too many good choices to choose from it seems! That would also explain why I gained 7 pounds in a week the last time I visited--NOT KIDDING and NOT water weight!

I'll second everyone's choices, in this order: Citricos, V & A's, California Grill, Jiko.

My top choices are V&A, Artist Point, and California Grill. Have eaten at all three a number of times and have always had a wonderful dinner, and DH and I are major foodies and winos. <-- Hehe, that sounded bad, but you know what I mean.

As an aside, I think your ILs will love Party for the Senses. Tons of celebrity chefs, lots of wonderful wine pairings...we are going for the first time this year and can't wait. :)

Not to add to the list but if they like the white table cloth type places, if or when you go to MGM try Brown Derby. I think that all of the upscale resort places are wonderful, and I bet she would enjoy them all, once she get past the Disney/park food thing.

Now you are going to make me crazy since you mentioned it I can not think of the the name of the place on 5th? And have you ever tried Tommy Bahamma's in olde Naples? It's good fun & food.

Alexdan -- If they like long dinners with wine pairings, they would love the Chef's Table at V&A. We've done it three times and will be doing it again in November. It takes three hours and the food is wonderful (we live in NYC so we know good food!). The wines are great and the sommelier will come and discuss the paired wines if they like. There are many courses because they bring you tastes of nearly everything on the evening's menu. It's expensive, but since price is no object . . . .

The only problem is the Chef's Table needs to be booked exactly 6 months out from the date you want it. Or, you need to be lucky and get a cancellation. If you have more than six months, read the thread on getting Cinderella's Royal Table and you'll understand how you need to call at exactly 7 a.m. Eastern time to book it.

If you can't get the Chef's Table, V&A dining room is also wonderful. Nice long meal, lots of courses and the wine pairings. The dining room is beautiful, tables are well-spaced, service is marvelous and a harpist plays. We love it so much we usually do the Chef's Table one evening and the dining room another evening while we're in Florida.

Kae-it's on third avenue. I was wrong. It's called Campiello's I think. Just down and across from Tommy Bahamas which we also like. We also LOVE Nemo's on Tamiami trail.

I have decided to book Bluezoo, V and A, and Tchoup Chop, print the menus and let her pick. Chef's table was unfortunately taken as I didn't know you could book it that far out. Oh well, maybe next time! My husband and I might try Cal grill and Jikos another night and maybe Citricos for lunch.

I'd listen to Karebear, if Jiko pleases SF & NY palletes then it's GOT to be good! At least I'm impressed!!!
