We are driving down from Boston to the D.C. area to visit family this May. We've done this drive so many times we could probably do it in our sleep...well, maybe not sleep, but you get the picture. Normally we drive straight thru, but since we will have our 2 year old twins and our 4 year old son with us we were thinking that maybe we'll do the trip in 2 legs and stop somewhere fun in between.

Any ideas?

We've driven from Maine to Washington DC many times. Usually we go straight through, but once in awhile we'll stray off track.

Are you looking to spend just a few hours somewhere or a few days? New York City is good for a day or two, and Atlantic City can be fun, but maybe not with young kids.

If you're passing through New Jersey in the evening, there is a Medieval Times in the Meadowlands area. The food is excellent and the entertainment is very good.
