We are leaving Saturday and staying at All Star Movies. Is there a quieter area (building?) to stay in? Can I make a request now or wait till we get there?

Is there a coffee maker in the room? Anything else I should know?

Thank you!

I would guess that the farthest building away from the food court/main building area would be the quietest. But that's not a guarantee... you could always experience noise from a neighbor. I wouldn't worry too much... if you're a light sleeper pack a small travel size fan... we take one with us everytime we go to provide "white noise" for the kids. :) It seems that no matter what hotel we stay at we're always near some drunks coming back from Pleasure Island at 3 am. ;) LOL

I am pretty certain there are NO coffeemakers in the All Stars rooms. I recall buying a refillable mug and "sharing" with my mom because she was too cheap to buy one. If there was coffee in the room, we wouldn't have done that!

We stayed in Building 1, Dalmations, and it was fairly quiet while being somewhat close to all the action. Our room was facing the parking lot (but the view was of the palm trees and gardens) away from the noisy areas.

It was a short walk to the food court and midway between the main pool and the Duck Pond pool (not sure what this was since we didn't swim this time around).

I would definitely request Building 1 Dalmations again if I were to return. Other buildings may be as quiet, but they are out in the boonies. Here's a link to the map.

The further away from the food court, the quieter the rooms. Another plus is that the pool further away from the food court is quieter too. However, if there are groups, cheerleaders and such, the noise level may be up. Although there are no coffee makers in the rooms, you can bring one from home, or pick up one from target, Walmart etc. The coffee in the food court( actually most of Disney) is really, really bad. You may be glad you have your own coffee maker with you.
