Where to stay?

DW and I own at AKV and absolutely love our lodge. It is just gorgeous. One of the reasons that we joined DVC was to experience different resorts. However, we love AKL so much that we haven't stayed anywhere else as DVC members (3 trips). This coming marathon weekend, we have vowed to stay somewhere else. I just don't know where. Since it will be the 2 of us, we really don't want to stay at OKW as we like the bed/couch combination in the studios. I'm looking for the best sales pitch for us to stay anywhere else. Please help. By the way, I realize that this is such a horrible problem to have, deciding which marvelous Disney resort to stay in!!!!!Thanks everyone!

you might find AKV or SSR might be your only choices.

if you can would go for BCV - that pool is pretty wonderful. plus easy access to Epcot.

SSR is close to DTD and you could stroll over to House of Blues, Raglan Road, etc. for some nighttime activities. SSR also has the full spa and you could both get some relaxing massages, etc.

BCV and BWV are both great for popping over to EPCOT and the Boardwalk comes alive at night as well. BCV has a more elaborate pool than BWV so if you want to chill out by the pool that would give BCV an edge.

I vote for BWV with a boardwalk view if it's available. There's nothing like being able to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. And you can sit out on your balcony with a glass of wine everynight and see illuminations and watch the going-ons on the boardwalk. We have 2 kids 7 and 16 months, but my DH & I fantasize about going solo one day at staying at BWV.

After running the 1/2 marathon on Saturday and the full on Sunday, walking to any park or activity doesn't sound all that great! Thanks for the advice!

Nothing beats a post marathon run as a steam room and sauna. Stay at SSR and you have free access to both over at the spa.

We are AKL owners too, although this October will be our first time coming home to our home. So far we've stayed at VWL, SSR, BCV and have an April visit to HHI. We'll only have BLT, OKW, VB and BWV left to sample.
