We will be at SSR Nov 6-11- what building should I request
It will be Dh and our two boys 4 and 7. We would like to be near the pool that would be good for them and near the CS and mug refill stations but want our patio/deck (we are in a one bedroom) to have privacy or at least not alot of traffic. We just bought into SSR about 8 months ago and this is our first stay. We are psyched!! Thanks

The Springs!!

I've been to Saratoga twice and that's mine and my sister's favorite section. It's where we stayed both times. The Springs has 3 buildings and all are very close to the pool. We were in the middle building one time in the corner room on the 3rd floor and could sit on our balcony and see the pool. It's also very close to everything else so it's not a long walk at all to get food or refills. That was pretty much what was most important to us to be close to everything.

You will love it! It's an absolutely beautiful resort. As for where based on your preferences, I agree with the PP - the Springs. It is directly across from the main pool and drink station. If you would like a more private balcony, ask if you can get a lake view. Below is a picture I took from our balcony. While no balcony will be super private, SSR feels more private than the "hotel" type resorts. We were there during Spring Break, and while the resort was sold out, it felt like we were the only ones there. Well...at least until we went to the pool! :goodvibes

Enjoy your first stay home! :flower3:

The main pool at one of the most crowded times of the year...

The buildings and street are a dividing line between the main pool and the Springs section. In this pic, if you could jump to the right over the buildings, you would land in the main pool. If you jumped to your left, you'd be in one of the Springs buildings. I took this at the bus stop.

I love the Grandstands because it's close enough to the main pool but the quiet pool is fun with the water sprayers. The area is quiet and has lots of privacy. I didn't get any food at this pool and I'm not even sure if it was food or just a bar. Walk down to it if you do choose the Springs, maybe you'll like it for the next trip.

The springs if you want to be close to the pool, congress park if you want to be close to DTD...

Oh I vote Grandstand. We stayed at GS last Nov. ...first bus stop on pickup and drop off. :thumbsup2 We were right next to the pool in the Grandstands....very quick walk to the main bldg. too. :goodvibes
