Where to stay with 3 year old twins

I'm currently planning our 7 day!! trip to WDW in late May - our first with our 3 year old twins!! I am up to my ears in research and am getting a little overwhelmed...so here are is my burning question:
we need to save as much as possible, but I think that we also need to stay onsite (the girls do better with a mid-day break). Has anyone stayed at the ASMu suites? I like the theming at some of the moderate resorts better - I would love to hear some experiences of staying at a moderate with two toddlers. Are the rooms big enough?

We stayed one night at POR with our three kids. Fine for one night, but way too crowded for a week. There was no way to separate the kids for down time. I think I would go for space over theming right now.

Hey, I have three year old twin girls! I can't help you with the ASM suites, but we've stayed at Saratoga Springs (they slept in pack and plays in the biggest bedroom, but then, they were just two at the time) and at Old Key West. At OKW we were in a suite, and they slept in one of the big beds with me. No problem, which was funny, because they will NEVER sleep with me at home. Kick me in the head and laugh maybe, but sleep? No way.

The rooms are quite small to me. I know the moderates are not that much bigger, but for some reason they feel bigger. Also, the pools are better I think. Maybe one of those rooms are possibly two value rooms? I don't know that much about the AS suites and their lay out, but having two rooms would be nice so that you can watch TV in one room or area while the kids nap. The best case would be to get a one bedroom villa at one of the DVC resorts, but that is certainly not saving money! We stayed at CBR when our twins were 9 mos and then at OKW twice and BCV once w/ a return to the BCV this Easter.

We went to Disney for our twins 3rd birthday! We stayed at POFQ for 7 nights, and while it was "crowded" (especially with the double jogger in the room, too), it was definately doable for us at that time. Our twins napped in the stroller EVERYDAY at the parks (hey, we were suprised, too!), so we didn't need to go back to the room. My DH and I each slept with a twin, not so much fun. However, we joined DVC, and now we're staying in a 1 bedroom this next trip.

Thanks so much for your opinions! I am so excited about the trip. It would be great if the girls napped in the stroller. It would also be completely unprecedented!! When my husband and I went pre-kids, we loved the PORFQ. If this trip goes well we may bite the bullet and join the DVC too...haven't been able to talk my DH into that yet!!

We stayed at the POLY when our twins were 3 (with an older brother) We love the room size (the boys shared one of the queen sized bed) we loved the monorail, zero entry pool - it worked great for us and was cheaper the a DVC.

My DH thought that DVC wasn't for us - until he REALLY looked at how much we spent to go to Disney! After that, he said that DVC just really makes sense for how we vacation.

As far as napping in the stroller - I was AMAZED that my girls slept in theirs! They weren't big nappers at home, but without fail they would sleep every day. The only thing was we had to keep them moving. If the stroller stopped, they would wake up.

We have twin boys that will turn 4 in April. They have been to Dis 5 times. We stayed in the suites, it is nice if you are lucky enough for the girls to sleep in a big bed. The suites have a room with a bed and tv and you can shut the door. The kitchen area is right outside that bedroom with a bath next to it. There is another bathroom(both have curtians to cut out the light to the other room), then the "tv room" has the fold out couch and chair and outomen(spelling?). The boys slept on the pull out chair, the arms kind of acted like bed rails. We have gotten very creative with furniture to keep our kids on hotel beds I don't know if I could have slept on the pull-outs. The suites allow you to watch tv without waking the kids and the little kitchen was useful. We have also crunched in one room and then when we outgrew that(5 kids) we moved to 2 rooms. We all love the Port Orleans resorts(both). The deluxes do have the best pools, but the pools at both the Port Orleans are really nice(my kids like these). We don't care for the pools at the All Stars, but when money is an issue, that's where we go. Hope that helps.
