Where to stay-Villas at Wilderness Lodge or Beach Club Villas??

ok, im in a dilema.

I just LOVE the wilderness lodge. it is my all time favorite place. We usually rent points from someone for part of our stay and pay cash for the rest of the night because the friday-saturday point rate really raises the price.

We are arriving on a sat night, so we are just going to stay at POP for the one night. Then we are trying to decide to either stay at the VWL or BCV from sunday to friday. We can rent points from dvc members, or we can wait and hope for an AP discount. I think renting will work out better.

On friday, we are changing to the Wilderness lodge for 1 night that we get complimentary from WDW due to some trouble we had last trip, but only 1 night. Then the last 2 nights, we are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter for the first time.

I have stayed at the WL many times and just love it there. Have always wanted to stay at the BCV and be able to use the pool SAB again(I got to use it once before while at BWV when their pool was closed) My new DW has not had the pleasure of SAB. She does love the WL like i do as well.

I dont want to split up the stay at BCV and VWL since we are already moving a few times as well, would love the 5 straight nights at one place.

So, which do we choose and why?? Beach Club Villas or Villas at Wilderness Lodge, or hold out for AP discount at Wilderness Lodge??

We have stayed at BWV many times and love the boardwalk and closeness of it to epcot. But on the other hand, we love the lodge and the boat transportation.

Help us decide!!

Oh, I feel your pain, really I do. We are in a similar situation this December. We own at VWL and ALWAYS go there for the Christmas season. This year is a little different in that we are able to do 8 nights at WDW and then a 4 day cruise. So, do we stay at VWL the whole time??? Nope. We split it between BCV and VWL (4+4). I figure it was time to branch out and try different DVC resorts. So for you, I voted BCV. If not for the pool and close proximity to Epcot and MGM, but to experience some place different. Let us know what you decide! Such a good dilema to have.
