I'm hoping you guys can help! My fiance and I are planning a very last minute trip to DL either the 8th-10th, or the 9th-12th of next month. There are no annual passholder discounted rooms at any of the DL hotels during that period of time, but I can get a pretty good deal at the Hilton ($80 a night). I'm wondering if we should stay there, and what the transportation to and from the park is like if we do stay there. I heard they did away with the free shuttles, so I was wondering what took it's place. I haven't been there for a while. Also, I know it is going to be crowded, if anyone has any tips for me please let me know! The only other time we could go would be the 16th-19th.

Thanks so much!
Lisa

PS What is the best way to get to the hotel from Orange County airport?

I'm not positive, but if the Hilton no longer has it's own private shuttle, it would probably be served by the ART (Anaheim Resort Transit) shuttles. I'm not positive of the rates, but I want to say it's about 10.00 for 5 day pass. The shuttles run on a schedule, more shuttles during open and close. I did read somewhere that they now take a lunch break and don't run for an hour or so around noon. maybe try www.anaheimoc.org for more info.

Here's the correct link http://atnetwork.org/anaheim_resort.html

This site has the schedule and routes.

As for transportation from the airport. There are a few reasonable choices. For shuttles/busses try

www.ariportbus.com

www.supershuttle.com

Cab fare from SNA to the Disneyland area is about 30-35.00, but ask for a flat rate.

We just got back a few weeks ago. We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn. That little place is charming. They have their own shuttle and are also within a reasonable and safe walking distance if you care to walk. The complementary continental breakfast was just what we needed to get going in the AM, the pool was heated, they have a hot tub and the price was right. We had a pkg we booked on the Disney website through WDTC and we received a packet full of coupons and preferred seating rewards. We thought it was a great deal.
