Help! Where should my husband and I stay for a 3 night stay in late April 2008? We typically stay at the Poly but we would like to try something a little less expensive. I have stayed at the Caribbean Beach and enjoyed it. We prefer a moderate for this stay. Which resort do you suggest and why? This is intended to be a romantic/relaxing few days for me and hubby. I am a WDW College Program Alum so I am familiar with most of the resorts which kind of makes this more difficult. Your thoughts please...

I'd suggest Port Orleans, French Quarter. It's typically quiet, very small and I think, very romantic. DH & I had a great stay there over Labor Day weekend.

Ditto - Dolphin (bette for families) or Swan (more romantic)

You can get a great AAA rate and a better rate if you are a nurse or teacher.
The discount rates are only about $20 more than a WDW moderate.

You can walk to EPCOT from the S/D. There is a boat also to EPCOT and STUDIO's. You can walk to the Boarwoalk for some dancing and great places to eat.

If not a WDW Deluxe - than do the S/D before a WDW moderate. :teacher:

CSR! Has many deluxe amenities that your used to at the deluxes...salon, spa, fitness center and full menu room service.

We love Port Orleans Riverside for the landscaping, but I won't stay at any moderate for a "romantic" weekend again unless it's in a King sized bed. That usually puts us out of any available annual passholder discounts, and the rack rate for a king bed room is so close to an AP discount on a Deluxe, we usually go ahead and do the Deluxe!

I just cannot sleep in a double bed with him, and I refuse to have a "romantic" weekend in an Ozzie & Harriett!
