My DH and I are planning a trip for our 10 year anniversary. I am having the most difficult time trying to choose a DVC resort.

A little info if it helps:
Leaving kids with Grandma
Traveling late summer
DH prefers 1 BR with jetted tub
No park visits planned

Our 7 month window opens in just a few days and I need help!

Please share your wisdom!

P.S. AKL CL is showing availability for our travel dates so it could be a possibility.

VGF with ADR at V&A! While it is true that AKL has good restaurants, you'll have more choices and entertainment options around the lake.

Aulani!

After all, you had no parks planned anyway ... right?

My husband and I LOVE the Boardwalk for our anniversary trips. We don't get to spend much time in Epcot with our son (age 5), so it's fun to be able to walk right over and enjoy the countries. We also enjoy the short walk to Hollywood Studios as well. A monorail resort would also be fun. Heck we've even had a great time at SSR. You really can't go wrong! We're headed to BLT this year with our anniversary dinner in Cinderella's Castle. I'm excited because neither of us have ever been in there. Just a warning though...we went on our first anniversary trip for our tenth anniversary, and we ended up needing to add on points so we could go every year. This year will be our 4th year in a row.

This would my suggestion as well. It would make a perfect Anniversary.

My vote is also for VGF, you can watch the fireworks from their dock. It's so pretty and romantic over there.

For us, we don't really vote for V&A. To my DH, there's no meal on earth worth that cost....but, to each his own.

Happy planning & HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

VWL with dinner at Artist Point!:goodvibes

We would consider taking the boat to Contemporary to see the fireworks.

AKL CL with a Jiko reservation is great!....we have stayed a bunch of times and it is always awesome.....I would also do VWL with Artist Point....whatever you decide, I am sure it will be wonderful! :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the advice!

We are making ADRs at Artist Point and California Grill, where we ate on our honeymoon.

We have been to V&A on a previous trip and while DH loved it, he isn't willing to come off his wallet for it again!

Aulani was my first choice but DH is not a flyer so he nixed that idea.

My vote is for BLT or VWL, based on your dining plans and no plans to visit the parks.

While we LOVE VGF, I really do not care for the tub. My kids love the sensation, but I still prefer the bigger jetted tubs in the other resorts. My 5 & 2yr old (combined weight of 70lbs) are cozy in that tub. In the standard jetted tubs, they are swimming :)
