We are going for Spring Break  15-23 of March and my daughter wants to stay at POP. We have never stayed at Value, so would love to know what to ask for at POP.

Thanks

Dawn

Both of our stays we have asked for 50s section Building C, Illumination View, 4th floor. It is a great spot and is relatively quiet with a great view.

Enjoy your stay.

It all depends . If you want to be close to the busses or want a quiet room with a view of Illuminations .regardless of the building 4 th floor rooms are the quietest . 60s are closest to Classic hall and busses but are preferred rooms and more $ 90s are the furthest .as declansdad said you can see Illuminations at epcot from 50s section Building C That is what we are going to request when we go in just over 2 weeks . We love POP during our last stay in 2006 .

Ditto on this. We had this exact spot and it was great. ( and not a preferred rate.) My second choice was 60's building facing the lake, top floor . ( also standard rate)

We are staying at POP Century during March Break too!

Starting at the beach and then POP from March 18, checking out March 25.

I'm letting POP people pick! S

We have let POP pick the last three times and we actually have ended up in the same building on the same floor ( diffrent rooms) all three times.

We have been in the 70's in the building with the big wheel. We face the back and there is a quiet court yard. Not too far from the food court and we are super close to the Goofy splash pad where DS 2.5 LOVED to play.

Can anyone give me an idea of the noise level if we are in a preferred room in the 60's building on ground floor? My travel agent recommended this but I'm concerned it may be noisy. We are paying to be closer to the busses and she said she likes the ground floor. I'm thinking we might get pool noise but have never been to WDW before. I tried to convince the girls to go to a moderate resort but they are taken with the pictures of POP.

Your DDs will love thhe theaming at pop . The advantage of a ground floor room 60ts is that you go right out of the room to the pool and it is cloosest to busses and classic hall ( And the pool bar ) if you are concerd about noise i would request a 4 th floor room ( there are elavators )

We alway request 50's lakeside. Last trip we were closer to the main building than some of the 60's area. Why pay more to be closer when you can have a large quieter pool and be close to the main building in the 50's area.

on my last trip i was only able to get a preferred room at Pop, whicih was ok I got to stay in the 70's building so i was close to the main building and i went out back to catch the busses, i wouldn't pay for it again if i could take a std but it was a nice change to staying the 50's and 90's. I'm sorry but I hate walking over the cobblestone in the 50's section.

Noise level....very noisey. Ground floor 60's is the most convenient location but remember you will be paying about $12 more per night. If you want to try it ask for a 'non pool side' room. Someone suggested the 4th floor, it is still noisey if you are pool side and the walk to the elevator eliminates any location advantage. If you want a preferred room that is a bit quieter go for the 50's or 70's. 50's has it's own pool and 70's is closest to the bus stop.

Also, remember this resort is very big. So if you are there when it is heavily booked it has the potential to be noisey in any location.

We actually had the exact same room.

We were also in the fifties section - lakeside 4th floor room - this past September. We really enjoyed it - it was very peaceful and quiet and really felt like you were away at a retreat somewhere, plus it was a short walk to the food court. Would definitely request it again.
