Does anyone know if there is a seating area for the Golden Oak Outpost (and is there shade)? Based on the pictures I found, it looks like the building doesn't seat guests inside. Also, where exactly is it in Frontierland?

I saw this on allears in an article, not sure of the date:

This new location serves Chicken Nuggets, a Fried Chicken Breast Sandwich, and a Vegetarian Flatbread Wrap. Fries (not McDonald's) and Coke products are also available. A much needed seating area has also been added. (photo shows outside seating only - it's just a more substantial looking cart/building - there won't be seating inside).

I believe it is between Frontierland and Adventureland, if it is in the same place as the french fry cart. But I can't say I noticed it on either of our last trips, but I probably just wasn't paying attention. It's not too far from Pecos Bills if that's the place I'm thinking of.

It's been open for a while now--I definitely went there in January or June of last year (2009). It does have some outdoor seating available, but not too much--although it is right near Pecos Bill's/El Pirata y el Perico, which both have plenty of seats.

I had the Fried Chicken Breast Sandwich, and it was awesome! Totally worth it. Now that Tusker House isn't CS anymore, I believe that this is the only place that still has a fried chicken sandwich.

We went there yesterday.

It is on the corner where Pecos Bills is. Just walk from Splash Mt. or Country Bears towards Adventureland and it's there just as you round the corner to the left (or straight on, depending on where you're coming from.)

There is outdoor seating and you can also walk across the street to Pecos Bills and sit in there if you want to be inside.

We had the veggie flatbread & the chicken blt flatbread and were not impressed. The flatbreads are not flatbread pizzas, they are sandwiches.

They are like salads on flatbread and served cold. If you want a salad, I would recommend them but as sandwiches go they were not my fav. The fries were good though.

We didn't like the food either at GoldenOak. Thought they would be "hot" flatbreads but instead they were cold toppings in a cold dry pita thing. For sitting they do have some outdoors, but we brought ours over and ate at Pecos Bills. Don't plan on ever eating there again though.

As others have said, the designated seating area near Golden Oak Outpost is small and limited. The stand is near Pecos Bill and El Pirata y El Perico, where you should be able to find a table, if necessary.

It's pretty much right across from the side seating area at Pecos Bill's, so we sat in there and were very grateful for the A/C.

The fried chicken sandwich is pretty good. It's served with lettuce and tomatoes, and ranch dressing.
