So we will be there the 1st week of Nov and I would like to pick up a few Christmas gifts for the youngins' and I would like to hear people's opinions on the best shops in DTD to just that. I am not looking to spend a fortune so if I could also hear about stores that offer great deals, that would be fantastic too! I know for sure I will hit the Lego store, but I really am not all that familiar with most of what's available to me, so any thoughts are welcomed. Thanks again!

The main Disney store is HUGE and I always walk away with a huge bag of loot. :) I also like Dept. 56, which has a lot of holiday collectibles. My kids even love it!

If there are any tweeny girls on your list, Club Libby Lu is a must!! We bought our god daughter a ton of Hannah Montana stuff you couldn't get here and she loved it!!

Build a Bear, you can often times get different "outfits" and characters than in your traditional stores.

My favourite stores, Disney Vault 28 (great clothes) and Starabilias (great posters and other memorabilia stuff)

and of course, World of Disney

What I have found is, you can walk into one store in DL and spot something and if you don't get it right then, it very well may gone the next time you go into that store. However, what I have also found is that you may find some nifty items in one store and then those same items can be found in many other stores throughout the park, though they may be grouped together differently. I found some neat things in the China Closet on Main Street, but I saw them again in the Gag Factory in ToonTown.

I always have good luck with finding fun stuff in the Gag Factory that may be sold out in the Emporium. I have bought really cute Gingerbread Mickey and Minnie magnets and mugs and cookie ornaments there, as well as other good stuff. I got some cute Halloween stuff in the China Closet. The Emporium is good but it is often more packed. You can also get a Disney version of Mr. Potato Head at Gag Factory or EnginEars in DCA. You won't find anything completely cheap, but most of the stuff I mentioned like the magnets and ornaments are not too costly!

I've been looking forward to my trip to Department 56 almost as much as to the park itself. I'm going to start my Christmas village collection and buy a ceramic house while I'm there. Anyone have any tips for bringing it back safely in my luggage?

I like the Lego store. Just try to know what you are getting. Some items you can find on sale at other stores cheaper. Other things are very hard to find or only available in the catalog. The Bellville pink legos that many girls like are hard to find and I've never seen them at Target or regular stores. They also have bins where you can pick out a tub of favorite colors and parts.

Last time my boys got $10 lego sets marked down to $2.50 so there are deals to be found, but depends on when you go. And they have other Lego items- shirts, mugs, pens, etc. I love my Lego mug. :lovestruc I bet you could find a few good stocking stuffers if nothing else.
