Where to save a spot for parade and fireworks

We are a large party of 9 with two ECVs. I want to make this as easy for my Senior Parents as much as possible. My plan was to get a good spot for the parade early.

Where do you suggest?

I want to be able to see the fireworks from the same spot and I'm not thinking of doing the roped area for wheelchairs because I am unsure if we can all sit together and I don't want my kids to have to sit behind them.

I really don't want to move to see the fireworks though. It is so darn congested. I also prefer to be next to a trash can.

Any suggestions? :goodvibes

1) You will get LOTS of responses.
2) And, many negative.
3) Saving parade space is not a WDW sanctioned "thing".
4) Others can sit and claim the spaces and the CM's will back them up.
5) If you want the space(s), all of you should go and occupy them just like others do.
6) I understand the "older folks" argument, but a guest-is-a-guest-is-a-guest.
7) The other option is the handicap/wheelchair/ECV section.

What about using a Fastpass + for the parade?
We did this for the electrical parade at MK and it was very nice.
