Hi- I'm hoping someone can help. Going to the Polynesian for the first time at the end of June (me, wife, 16 year old son, 13 year old daughter). We have a reservation for a standard room. But, I understand some are more standard than others. Can anyone give me some advise on what building to request and why? Thanks for your help!!

We just got back from a week at the Polynesian. Requested and received the Tokelau longhouse, 3rd floor, room 3916. It is considered a garden view room, but it had a view of the lagoon, the beach in front of the Tahiti longhouse, Magic Kingdom ferry and the monorail. We loved it! Plus, the rooms in Tokelau (along with those in Tahiti and Rapa Nui) are a little larger than the rooms in the other longhouses. Hope this helps! :teeth:

We're going to be there in July I'm going to call them and request this room thanks!

We stayed in Tokelau as well, the last time we went. We had a view over looking the quite pool. Very centrally located. Close to the Ceremonial House, TTC and the quite pool. We loved it.

Google Tikiman, and you'll find a great website full of as much information on the Polynesian as you could possibly hope to find. it's got specific pros and cons of each longhouse, which can help you make the decision about which is best for you. For instance, some longhouses have two sinks per room (most do not). Some have larger rooms than others. Tikiman's site includes all tha information.

Tikiman is the Poly God. If you want to know it, it is on his website. :)

We are just back from the Polynesian and reserved a garden view room.
We were assigned room 3915 which was at the very end of Tokelau.
We had an unbelievable view of the castle, space mountain, The Contemporary and the lagoon. I don't know if this was really a garden view room or not but you should try and get it! We were VERY surprised. GoofyBaby must have been our neighbor!
