We are thinking of renting a house but am confused about where these communities are in proximity to US/IOA and SW. Any suggestions on which areas/communities to look in so we're not renting one and then finding out it's an hour ride to the parks? Thanks!

If you want to be very close to Universal, I would try either the Dr. Phillips or Windemere areas. Both are upscale and very nice.

Are you asking about a villa to rent for a vacation or a house to rent to live in? I don't think there are any vacation homes to rent near Universal. Most of them are closer to Disney.

It would depend on if any realtors can hook them up. I'm sure there are houses to rent since they aren't selling. The trick is to find one that you can rent for a week or two.

I'm not sure but I think it depends on the zoning. Certain areas do not allow short term rental homes. But I honestly don't know the zoning laws so there may be some available near Universal Studios.
