Here in Ohio most grocery stores sell gift cards. Giant Eagle offers fuel perks as 10 cents off a gallon of gas per $50 purchased with double perks from time to time. I have seen folks mention that Kroger does the same thing.
Are there any stores that offer these types of perks in your area???
I see you said you don't belong to BJ's but do you belong to any other warehouse club??? Most of them do the same thing.
I also you my Disney Visa when purchasing GC for that extra 1%-2% in cashback perks.
I vote for the Disney Store as well. I order them online and each of my girls can choose their favorite design for their spending money at Disney. It makes it super easy to know what card belongs to which kid.
We always buy them from disney.com for the fun designs. As well, if you are wanting to use the gift cards in the parks, make sure that they can be used there by looking on the gift card. I think some of the ones you might buy at a grocery store will only be for the Disney store, and those at disney.com and some other stores can be used at the Disney store AND the parks.
There's a thread on the Budget Board discussing many problems people are having with the Target cards. I wouldn't go that route reading their experiences. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3352555
