I'm having a terrible time locating Avery or HP transfers for dark shirts. I've tried Michaels, Jo-Ann Fabrics and Office Depot and can only find Wilton. From what I've read, they may not work very well. There's not a Hobby Lobby near me. Anyone have any other suggestions to purchase from retail? If not, I guess I'll have to buy online and hope to receive them before our MNSSHP trip on 10/12.

I also bought some Avery just yesterday at Wal-Mart in the office supply department.

I just wanted to let you know that I went tonight to double check and yes we had Avery at wal-mart. And it was pretty resonably priced.

I found it a our wal-mart today. i got a pack of 5 sheets of the dark transfer paper for a about $10.Now if I only knew how to get the image from my picture files on the computer to where I could blow it up and print it off.:confused3 I hope I'll figure it out before Thanksgiving:woohoo:

I got some at Staples too - more $$$ than Wally World but I think I broke even considering the gas prices!:goodvibes

Thanks for the help everyone. I'll try WalMart today since its nearby. Then I'll head for Staples if I strike out. Can't wait to give our MNSSHP shirts a try with the beautiful designs I've found here!

Hi momminnie!
Go to the Avery website! They have programs that you can use for free to reverse the pictures for an iron on transfer! They are really easy to use too! Just copy and paste the pictures on! :) Hope that helps ya!

Read the instructions on the Avery Dark transfers - I don't think you print those backwards only the white/light transfers are printed that way.

I just cut and pasted the pictures into a Word document and printed them. Others that I wasn't changing I printed straight from the picture file they were in. Good Luck and let us know how it turns out!:goodvibes

My biggest challenge was that I used both light and dark transfers - out of the boxes they look almost identical. I was afraid I was going to print the wrong way on the opposite transfer type!:rotfl:

It all turned out fine - now if I can just get DH to WEAR the shirts.....but that's another thread!:lmao:
