Where to Park?

I don't know if this is on the right board or not, but I'm still kind of new and trying to figure things out.....
We are staying offsite so will drive pretty much everywhere.... One day we are going to AK then over to Epcot for dinner (ADR at 5:50) and then on an Illuminations cruise. I KNOW there probably won't be time to move the car from Epcot to the Y&B before the cruise.... <I'm still trying to move the ADR about another 20 minutes or so so that I'm sure we'll make it on time...>
Anyway, my question is -- could we park at Y&B or will we be able to get back through Epcot to get to our car afterwards? Where should we park?

You will have no problem at all getting back through Epcot in order to get to your car. Just hop off the boat, and walk back through the Intnl. Gateway and then through Epcot to the parking lot.
You will get a lot of people posting to let you know that the resort parking lots are really for those staying there. I suppose that you are taking advantage of a resort offering since you are doing the IllumiNations cruise, but that would be open to interpretation I suppose. If you wanted to give it a try, I would not look for a parking space close to the resort..I would head to the outer most areas of the resort parking lot and park there.

So, goofy4tink, they will allow you to enter EPCOT after Illuminations is over and the park is closed -- if you tell them that you're headed to your car?

Well, it depends on what time you're going to the parking lot. If IllumiNations is scheduled for 8:30, and the park 'closes' at 9:00, you should be able to hop off the boat (we took the cruise out of YC also) at the Intnl Gateway. Our boat captain let those of us who were taking buses/monorails back to our resorts off there so we didn't have as long a walk! But, you will have to use a park day...so if you don't have a park hopper, or an ap, you won't be able to do that.
Also, if you were planning on eating at one of the resorts, and wouldn't finish eating until 10:30, then you won't be allowed into the park to get to the parking lot.
