Where to meet characters at Disneyland

I'm going to Disneyland in 2009, so actually, if you give me info now, it won't help 100%, but at least it would be a great help as a general area.

Mary Poppins and Bert are usually on Main St., although I haven't seen Bert but I think he would be where Mary is. (yes we are on a first name basis)

Thanks for the people who have posted so far. This is a great help already! I just want to know if something is still there. You see, in all the sites I've viewed in the past, they've told me to go to the Villains Lair. I guess it's in the castle or near it somewhere (I'm just going by web, this will be my 1st time, so I'm sorry if I ask a few to many ?'s.), so if someone could tell me if there still is a 'Villains Lair', and if there is, where it really is.

Hmm, never heard of Villian's Lair!! If it is real I want to know where it is! LOL

As for other characters, you can always check at City Hall on Main Street, they will tell you where to find all the characters you want to see!

Hmm, never heard of Villian's Lair!! If it is real I want to know where it is! LOL

Yeah! One website said it was a gift shop inside the Sleeping Beauty Castle, and there are always villains either near the entrance to the shop, near the register, and (very rarely, according to that site,) right infront of of the castle. Also, (I forget which one but,) on one of disney boards( not disboards), it said that in one of the trip reports, Cruella DeVil wouldn't let them in the gift shop until she signed their autograph book! That's where they also are-- right in front of the door.
Also, does anyone know where the dwarfs are?
I once heard they are at the entrance at opening time, but I've never heard ANYONE else prove that.

The seven dwarfs were a part of the parade in the evening and were next to the princesses float. Come to think of it, Mary Poppins and Bert were in the parade too. As were Peter Pan, Chip, Dale, and loads of others I can't remember. I guess this is my way of saying, go to the parade at least once.

We haven't seen the dwarves except in the parade. I'll have to look for that shop/the villans when we are there next.....just over a month.

Villians Lair was a very short-lived visitation area outside the castle near the tunnel to Tomorrowland. I hardly ever see villians presented in this area anymore. At one point they used this area for the White Witch from Narnia. Now, THAT was impressive.

Here's my take on your list:

Captain Hook - Easily found at Minnie's Breakfast at Plaza Inn
-Snow White Queen - Only found above Snow White's ride in the tower window.
-Queen as Witch - not in the parks
-Jafar - never seen in the parks.
-Cruella DeVil - easily found in near flag pole in DL or Hollywood Backlot in DCA.
-Snow White - only found at PFFT or in Drawn to the Magic (sometimes) in DCA.
-Doc - not seen since the 50th
-Dopey - same as above
-Grumpy - same as above
-Fairy Godmother - easily found at either Goofy's Kitchen or Minnie's Breakfast
-Cinderella Mice - not seen since the 50th.
-Minnie - easily found at her house in TT, her breakfast at the Plaza or Main Street.
-Max - easily found at DCA or Goofy's Kitchen.
-Daisy - not so easy to find. Sometimes in TT.
-Mad Hatter - easily found with Alice right inside Turnstiles of DL
-White Rabbit - never seen
-Queen of Hearts - only saw her once and can't remember where.
-Mary Poppins - easily found as they perform daily on Main Street.
-Bert - easily found as they perform daily on Main Street.

Friar Tuck - as far as I know doesn't exit in the parks
-Prince John - same as above
-Peter Pan - easily found roaming FL or right inside Turnstiles w/Wendy
-Wendy - easily found roaming FL or right inside Turnstiles w/Peter
-Donald Duck - not so easily found. Have seen him on Main Street and TT
-Chip - very easily found at Storyteller's Cafe
-Dale - same as above

Yeah, you'll notice those are all from 2006. That is when they were actively filling this area with villians (specifically, Snow White Evil Queen, Cruella, and Queen of Hearts). I may be totally wrong, but I don't think they are actively doing this anymore. I would love to hear that I am wrong, though.

Anyone else seen Villian's Lair being used in the last few months?

I forgot I had the camera with me...taken on Nov 4th 2007 - all of the dwarves were present around the princess float including Dopey and Grumpy, etc........

Dangermouse is right, the Villians Lair shop has not exsisted for quite a few years, but Villians did continue for some time outside the shop that now sells weapons and family crests. DM is also right in the Snow Queen from Narnia was AMAZING!!!!!!! (it made it very disapointing to see the one at WDW ). But they haven't used the area as much since Narnia.

I have seen the Wicked Queen over in FL not too long ago, but only her as the witch only for Halloween over at DCA. In fact we saw a lot of villians over there some of who I was shocked to see like Pete (old Disney not the Dragon one), Jafar, Cpt. Hook, Queen of Hearts and more.

Cruella is so much fun! And she usually is in Hollywood Backlot like others said. She is one of my favs especially one of the girls who is hysterical!
