Where to lunch at AK

We have reservations at Tusker House but is there a better choice for lunch? Would you pick TH?

Yak & Yeti is another good option for AK. I have heard very good things about Tusker House, though! Another option would be visiting Animal Kingdom Lodge as well. They have one of our favorite lunch spots - Sanaa at Kidani Village.

We had a good meal at Yak & Yeti. We plan on trying it again. We really enjoy Tusker House for breakfast, but we have never eaten lunch or dinner at Tusker House.
If you decide to try Yak & Yeti, you must get the fried wonton dessert. The waiter talked me in to trying last time and it was very good.

How many in your party and what is the age and eating habits? Do you prefer big meals or smaller? Our go to at AK is the Nomad Lounge, the food menu is smaller plates and just perfect for us.

Depends on what kind of experience you are after. If a character meal is priority, then in my opinion Tusker House is the most edible one on WDW property. If it's to have a buffet meal and you don't mind a short bus ride to AKL then Boma offers a delicious dinner that we feel is worth the trip and better in selection than TH (but no characters). And if it is to have a tasty meal without leaving the park, then Yak & Yeti, which is also one of our standby favorites. For the latter, I second the suggestion to try the fried wonton dessert - it's yummy and easily enough to share for two.

Edit - oops, sorry - I just realized you were asking about lunch - Boma does not serve lunch (only breakfast and dinner).

Yak & Yeti for lunch or dinner....but I really love Tusker House for breakfast

What about Tiffins? They offer a nice sit down Lunch or have a few small plates at Nomad Lounge next door. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and great food.

Our youngest is 12 and the oldest is 22, so the charter dining is not very important. We plan on a late breakfast early lunch and then Jiko for dinner.

We usually eat at Yak & Yeti, sometimes Rainforest Cafe, we have infrequently eaten at Tusker House.
If we are doing an a la carte sit down Yak & Yeti is our first choice for TS at Animal Kingdom. If you are looking for a buffet, then TH is your go to choice for AK theme park.
The Satu'li Canteen is pretty decent for QS, we ate there and thought it was pretty good for fast food.
If you want a more upscale dining experience as an alternative to TH, there is Tiffins, or Sanaa (at Kidani Village/AK resort). But you are already doing Jiko for dinner.

We like Yak & Yeti restaurant for lunch. My husband gets the burger and I love the tuna nachos.

Just back, and I really liked Satu'li Canteen. It is quick service, but that might be fine since you are dining signature for dinner. It changes from breakfast to lunch at 10:30, so you could get in for an early lunch and get some really good food at pretty reasonable prices. The atmosphere is nice, too.

Their meats- chicken and beef- are delicious. Well cooked and well seasoned. I had the vegetable curry pod one evening and the chicken and quinoa bowl the next day. Both were tasty and filling.

My favorite thing I ate there was the vegetable goat cheese frittata with beef. So good. If you wanted to get in early, you could go there before 10:30 and have the breakfast.

We love TH and Tiffins -- we do each of them on just about every trip, lunch and/or dinner!

We DO NOT like Y&Y AT ALL -- food mediocre at best, and have had bad experiences with service -- tried multiple times over the years and gave up. We personally avoid Rainforest Cafe at all costs... similar reasons to Y&Y, but add WAY MORE MEAL TIME for REALLY SLOW SERVICE.

Yak and yeti. They have some really good food. Tusker house if fun for the characters with kids, but food quality not so great

If characters are not a priority, go to Yak & Yeti. Something for everyone and I really love the atmosphere.

We like Yak & Yeti too! We have done most of the places in AK. If you happen to want CS, flame Tree is one of the best. Tusker House is such a toss up. I love it but DH is not a fan at all.

What about Tiffins? They offer a nice sit down Lunch or have a few small plates at Nomad Lounge next door. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and great food.

This is my suggestion as well.

If you are doing a late breakfast and then going to Jiko for dinner, I might not make an ADR for lunch at all. You want to be hungry for Jiko, right? I'd suggest a counter service lunch at AK so you aren't too full to enjoy dinner. I bet those small plates at Nomad Lounge would be exactly what you need for this lunch(although we haven't eaten there yet)! We like Pizzafari, Yak and Yeti take out is ok, and FlameTree.
