Where to hide ring?

I have a proposal planned aboard the Grand 1 yacht. The current plan is to spend the day at MK and then take the resort launch to Wilderness lodge. Have dinner at Artist point then board the yacht from there.

The difficult part is where do I keep the ring?

So far I have 2 ideas

1. Keep it in some sort of backpack. The problem with this is I am not use to carrying around a backpack and probably would want to put it in a locker...which seems risky with such a pricey item. The other bad part about this is that she may try to look for something in the backpack...I would have to "guard" it.

2. Don't carry the ring box with you and simply have the ring in a pocket. The advantage of this is its easy to hide...the scary part is if it falls out of my pocket during the day .

I can't think of any other way to keep the ring with me. I could go back to the Polynesian(where we are staying) before dinner and get it then and do SOMETHING with it but seems kinda out of our way to take the monorail to our resort then back to the MK then to wilderness lodge via the resort launch.

Anyone got any tips for me? I have also considered putting it in a digital camera case...but then I need to have an excuse not to take pictures...

You could pin it in your pocket somehow, maybe put the ring in a very small bag and pin in inside your pocket. HTH.

do you carry a wallet or any thing if you have a coin/zip in your wallet you could place the ring in there

I was thinking safety pin it but I would be terrible worried all day it would fall out!! I honestly would think nothing if my FI brought up the idea of leaving the park early to "wash up" at the hotel prior to dinner! Maybe just suggest that although it would be out of the way a little so you can easily sneak it in your pocket when she is in the restroom cleaning up or something?

If the forecast calls for it being chilly at night(Dec 8th) I could make the excuse to go back and get some sweatshirts if we needed them later that night. I could put the sweatshirts in a backpack to make them "easier to carry"

That could work!! If you are up for carrying a bag than you could always do that but if not just go back and get the sweaters "just in case" later on like you said!! Good luck!!

That's what I did, prior to popping the question at CRT.

On the way down, the ring box as stashed inside my backpack...praying the whole time that I wasn't going to get any extra scrutiny and blow the surprise.

While at WDW, it was locked in the safe and I kept ahold of the key. She didn't think twice, mainly cause she didn't lock anything up in there.

We spent the day at the park, then went back to the hotel to get cleaned up before dinner. While she was in the shower, I took the ring box out and put it in one of my cargo pockets, where it stayed until I couldn't wait anymore and pulled it out during dinner.

That could work!! If you are up for carrying a bag than you could always do that but if not just go back and get the sweaters "just in case" later on like you said!! Good luck!!

Yeah I was thinking, weather permitting, I could even say at the start of the day that "I'll come back before dinner and grab the sweatshirts so we don't have to carry them all day" (It's a EMH night so MK is open til 11PM.

Ditto. And just a hint, no woman wants to be grubby from hanging out in the park all day when she's proposed to, unless it was done in the park itself. She's gonna want to look pretty. Even though she doesn't know what's going on, she'll thank you for it later. You could always tell her your feeling a little under the weather & need to go back to the room to rest.
