Where to go to dinner our first night?

Crystal Palace ---Your children are the perfect Age for this and it's only 1 credit --- Ages 3 & 1 --- at Castle you get sword's and that age it's ruff the way they like swinging them around ( to put it nicely -they like Wacking them ) ;)

I would do Ohana's. With our kids we like to do a couple of character meals and schedule them later on the trip. Reason being is if you do them early on they will be disappointed when the next few days they arent eating with Mickey. This is what we have for our DD(3) DS(4) DD(11)- Ohana, Boma, Narcoossees(kids are getting put in camp while we eat there),Kona, Chef Mickeys, Norway Princess, Crystal Palace. In that order. We find that by the end of our trip the kids are lot more tired and groggy and knowing the last three nights the kids will be on there best behavior cause Mickey or a princess is there is great. Kids happy equals me eating in peace.

I understand this reasoning about not doing character meals early. On the other hand, we did Chef Mickey's pretty early and then if we saw Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, etc in the parks, we did not have to go meet them b/c we already had. Part of the point of the character meals to me is not waiting in line.

Hello Firstly Im sure where ever you pick for your 1st night will be Amazing and a wonderful memory to keep, I have 3 boys aged twins 5 and oldest 8, we did a 3 wk holiday last september- we fly from England and so Our 1st day is usually met with tired excited little boys who want to do everything right that secound :rotfl2:....And we the parents normally just need a rest to refresh for the next day! This yr we decided for the 1st time to do a nice retaurent on our 1st night we was staying at AkL and so choose Boma, whilst a wonderful place it was not the best meal as the kids was as said very Excitable and tired, we actaully wanted to do a park when we got in and a Charecter meal but our plan was a little late and it was after 4.30, while im pleased we had a decent meal I was so tired i didnt enjoy the food or atmosphere half as much as if i had been refreshed! and just wanted the boys to hurry so we could sleep! I appreciate that your not doing a journey quite like ours lol but wanted to let you know our experience and we would have been devastated to have done a 2 credit meal with such tired children!
Also wanted to add that we have done Crystal palace since I was a little girl Im now 26, and it never fails to be the special meal of the holiday. We always gpo to MK our 1st full day and make Crystal Palace our 1st meal of the holiday ..bar last yr! (we did do it the next day though)The boys love the place and dont stop smiling from start to end, we normally have to fit it in again! Another quick (or not so quick) thing to mention is My boys argued that they dont like Princesses In fact at that stage they wasnt keen on girls :rotfl2: But mummy dragged them to Norway to do the Princess Breakfast haha my revenge for the TEX meal with Dinosaurs!!!! and guess what They LOVED IT!...the Princesses showed them so much attention not just the Twins and they had lipstick kisses on them, they played shy but that made the Princesses play with them and kiss and hug them even more!!! I wouldnt worry at all about Boys not knowing Princesses or liking them,If in doubt try the Norway Breakfast,Although I will definatly take my boys to CRT next time,:) Have a fab trip what ever you decide.
