Where to go for the extra day?

We are going to Disney (1st time) for 6 days starting Oct 29. We have 2 days planned at MK (one is a MNNSHP day which we are attending the party that night), and one day each at MGM, AK and Epcot, which leaves us with one open day. We are not doing park hoppers and need to schedule the last of our ADR's. Should we do Epcot or MGM again? Or should we plan on another day at MK since one day is a MNSSHP day? It will be a Friday if that helps any?

Our kids are 13, almost 11, almost 5 and the baby will be almost 2 when we go.

Thanks in advance!

Personnally, my suggestion is to wait until you get there and then decide which park that you would like to spend more time in. But then again, at WDW, I am a "go-with-the-flow" person. If you want to place an ADR for that day, another option is to select a restaurant at one of the resorts or DTD. Then you can go to which ever park that you want and just use the buses to get from the park to your restaurant and then back again.

Well, I couldn't imagine going to Orlando without spending at least one day at Universal Studios. but thats just me..... :charac4:

Epcot is probably the least likely to finish in a day. But unless you needed to make dining plans now, I would wait and see what you wanted to do again after trying all of them.

Personally I would do EPCOT, we went Sat-Sat and one day we did world showcase, and the next we did everything else, so it wasnt stressful and we really got to see everything.

If you really want to do a park-- Id also consider doing Universal (sorry, I forget what the side is called with the movie theme, not the side with the huge coasters), its really fun and if you dont think you'll be back soon, worth it. If you want to stay in Disney, Id wait and see where you felt you were lacking or want to see more of, then re=do that park. Make an ADR for outside a park (hotel, or outside the world), then you wont have to be tied to that park all day. Otherwise, Id leave it completely open--to shop, hang at the pool, go for half a day to a park etc.

I would also give Universal a try. We usually like to go to both WDW and USF. If you were to stay 1 night onsite @ Universal you get front of the line all day every day. Can't beat that.

If we are talking about parks outside of Disney, my favorite is Seaworld. It is my favorite non-Disney park in the Orlando area. Your kids are the right ages to love the park, particularly the areas where you can feed the dolphins, stingy-rays, etc.

I'd suggest not doing any park that day - take a day for relation and down time.

If I had to pick another park to do with children, I would pick MK. But have you though of taking a day for any of the water parks or shopping at downtown disney?

I can't believe I'm saying this (Classic Type A personality  ), but since you're not going at a peak attendance time, I'd wing it and decide where to go on the spur of the moment. If you're doing the DDP, go ahead and make an ADR for a restaurant at a resort, as a poster above suggested. Sometimes the best times at Disney come when they are unplanned. :sunny:

I took your original post to mean that you want to visit one of the 4 disney parks and not venture to US/IOA/SW, right?

Enjoy your vacation!!
