OK - so I am trying to do research for our next trip - it's far out but I want to hear peoples experiences while they are fresh in their minds. We are veterans but it's our first time going over New Years week (1/27-1/3). So, are there any TS places that you had a great experience at over the holidays? Special decorations, characters in special costume, etc? We really are there to soak up the holidays at WDW, not too worried about lots of rides, etc. Thanks!!

Minnie's Holiday Dine at H&V is nice with characters all in their Christmas best, and pics w/Santa Goofy. Food is just so-so, but character interaction is great. All the meals at resorts are nice because you get to check out the beautiful decor at each one. Wilderness Lodge and AKL are gorgeous, Grand Floridian has amazing giant gingerbread house to see and taste, as well as chorale singing in the evening, Beach Club had chocolate carousel, etc. So any restaurants you enjoy in those allow you to take in that atmosphere. Of course Main Street and the castle lit up with zillions of icicle lights with a cup of hot chocolate is pure magic for us(no meal, just saying!). The one ride to do is the "Jingle Cruise" which is a lot of fun transformed for the holidays w/corny jokes to match the theme.
