I have seen pictures of these big drinks served in a pinapple but now I can't find it or remember where they are served! Can anyone help me out?

I got mine at O'Hana!

However I much preferred The Backscratcher drink there!

Wow - thanks for the recommendation on the backscratcher - looks yummy! I couldn't get a ressie at O'hanas (will keep trying) but I do have one at Kona - do you think they serve them there as well?

Sorry about the pineapple pic. I resized it.. not sure why it's so HUGE!!! :(

These were actually at a bar JUST outside of Ohana that we sat at while waiting for our seats (long story in itself but the drinks helped LOL!)

So you can go there even if not going to Ohana! They may serve them at Kona as well.. I (unfortunately) haven't been there yet.

Backscratcher was really good and you get a free backscratcher LOL!

I hope you get your drink(s!)!!

They do serve them at Kona also! You can also order them at the bar and then bring them to Kona if your table is ready before you drink it all. They are pretty darm yummy but just be aware they are a little pricey...about $13 if I remember correctly.

Awesome! I thought that my MIL would like one of these for her birthday :)

I've been told that they sell the Lapu Lapu without the pineapple....for less money.

I've got one of those backscratchers in every room in my house at this point...

I've also had both drinks (at both restaurants, 'Ohana and Kona)....I agree with the previous poster that, while both are good, the Backscratcher is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!

The Lapu Lapu is served in the pineapple but I think you can get other drinks in it as well it's about an extra $5 to get it in the pineapple I believe but it's totally worth it because how often do you get to drink out of a pineapple. But I will warn you that Lapu Lapu must stand for really drunk-because it was a very strong drink and all I could taste was alcohol

I think that is all that is in it is a couple kinds of rum....very strong, I was drunk and singing zippidy do da walking all the way back to our room at Shades of Green.

Warning: get it if you are going to be able to sit it down somewhere.

We had dinner at Ohana's and I got one on the way out, we were going to watch the fireworks from the beach, and I took the pineapple with me. It sounded like a great idea, but it was a little heavy to just be holding it non-stop, plus the bottom was pretty sticky.

My husband just kept rolling his eyes at me because I insisted I wanted the pineapple, I didn't even know what was in it. It was a little strong tasting for me, and ackward to hold onto, so he enjoyed laughing at me for insisting on it.

Just my 2 cents.......... yes, you can indeed get them at Kona - as we have!!

I also second that while the Lapu Lapu is good AND VERY STRONG........... the backscratcher is AWESOME!!! I've also tried the Blue Glowtini - it was YUMMY!!!

I can hardly wait to get back to the POLY - is it 2010 yet???? ;)

Both of them are DEFINITELY worth trying! I enjoy having the Lapu-Lapu b/c it's "fun" to drink out of the pineapple....and the Backscratcher just tastes great! You really should have both!!! I never tried the Glowtini...think I'll have to have one this August!!
Thanks for the suggestion!
