Where to get budget-minded prices for Disney pins?

When I first thought I might want to try this pin trading "thing", I posted a question on the collectors board asking how they carry a SMALL amount of pins. I said that I figured we'd each have about 3 to carry. One reply really struck me and I gotta tell you it. The post said something like "you may THINK you're only going to have 3 each, but you may wind up with a lot more - it's that much fun". Well, we have 5 in our group and I have have purchased over 60 pins - that's twice as many as I had planned (6 each) I've now MADE myself stop!!!!

I'm planning on doing something similar to you. I told my DSs that we'll put all of the pins on the table (yes, all ) then we would each take turns picking one pin at a time. I plan on getting my favorites first, just like they are planning to do. I really didn't get any that I just HAVE to hold onto, so this should work for us. I also bought some "girls", so I know they'll be trading a little bit.

I'm looking at this as a type of souvenier for the boys that will be sort of personalized to each of them (because we'll all make our own trading decisions). When we return from vacation, I want to take their pins and mount them in a shadow box picture frame and hang them in their rooms. When you look at the overall scheme of things, this will be a very cheap souvenier (even with 10 pins each!!!) - no, I'm not going to buy more, no I'm not going to buy more, no I'm not....

I bought the pins and also let the kids choose each day. I allowed them to choose 10 per day. I always carried extras, because there were a few days they ran out and found something they just HAD to have.

Some of the kids would only trade two or three each day. If I had any in my stash that they wanted to keep, they could do that and it would count against their ten pins for the day.

On the last trip, an order got delayed and we were short, so had to cut down on the number we took. We avoided looking at CM's pins because we didn't want to run out.

It really is a TON of fun. Even my husband loves it and he's not really a Disney kind of guy.
