Anyone have suggestions where to find the Disney travel books used? I have tried Kijiji with no luck over the past few months.

I'm trying to find the one for I 75 since we are driving and I thought it would be fun to get the kids one of the info books.

I'm trying to find the one for I 75 since we are driving and I thought it would be fun to get the kids one of the info books.

I would start with borrowing them from the library to decide which ones you may want to buy, if any. I was able to renew the 2014 Birnbaum Guide (so there was no waitlist for it).

Keep in mind, Fantasyland changes are barely up to date in 2014 guide so older versions will not even mention them, or the Fastpass changes.

I wouldn't buy either the I-75 or Disney books used. The information in both changes often, so having an updated copy is always a good idea. I pick up the latest copy of Unofficial Guides to Disney and ROO (Rest of Orlando) before every trip to see what has changed.

My local Chapters (Coles/Indigo) has many copies of I-75 and various Disney Guides. Be sure you get the latest though - they have the UG for 2012, 2013 AND 2014 all on the shelf at the same time!

The library is always my first stop. I don't pay for books as it's a waste of money. Our library system always seems to have the newest WDW books purchased. I just may have to request it from another branch or put a hold on it.

I know this makes me sound argumentative, but I took a quick look at the Ottawa Public Library collection on line.
They hold two copies of Along I-75, both from 2007
There is only 1 copy of the UG Beyond Disney in the collection from 2001
There are 23 copies of UG Disney 2011-2013 editions; no copies of the 2014 guide.
Other Public Libraries may have different versions, but Ottawa has a pretty good library system.
I think OP is right in wanting to buy - she'll want to have them along on the trip; it can be hard to get the latest edition reserved for your trip dates.

Things change at the parks so quickly that it is important to have the latest edition along. 2013 or earlier guides aren't going to help you with FP+ or MB. The ever changing information in Along I-75 is the same; attractions, gas stations, diners etc can change pretty quick. I wouldn't trust a 7 year old travel guide. Nothing wrong with trying to find a bargain, just be sure the bargain (or library) book is up-to-date.

Thanks everyone. I realized I had $40 in chapters gift cards from Christmas, so I used those and did buy the I-75 and Disney book new. I did want my own copy so I can dog ear and mark in it if need be...but always like a deal so I would have gone used if comments hadn't helped me realize that I 'd need the most up to date.
