A friend just told me the penguins from Mary Poppins sometimes appear in the park at Disneyland! Does anyone know where they tend to appear? I've never run into them & would love to see them.

I hear they like to putter around a lot in the frozend up town of Arendale in DCA. ;)

We've also seen one at the Minnie's character breakfast.

I would love to see a penguin, too! I saw Mary and Bert on my last trip to DL, a few weeks ago but no penguin. I will keep an eye out for one at Minnie and Friends when I go in May, would be cute to see and cool to know they come there. :)

Years ago I was in line for Pixie Hollow when a penguin came out backstage from near Plaza Inn. Needless to say I squealed and gave chase. :D He toddled around Pixie Hollow, past Matterhorn, through Fantasyland (even tried to pull the Sword out of the Stone) and then back in again.

I'm pretty sure you're kidding, but I haven't seen any of the Mary Poppins penguins in DCA.

To the OP, I didn't see them in the parks this past weekend, but I didn't dine at Minnie's. I saw Mary Poppins and Bert several times (by Coke Corner and by the Plaza Inn), but no penguins.

Penguins are very rarely out. the two times I have seen them it's been with Mary Poppins only, no Bert. Once was at the main gate, just past the train tunnel, the other was by coke corner. I've never seen them at plaza inn for breakfast, but I'm sure it could happen on occasion. It really is a rare event...

Yes, finding a penguin is a very rare thing. When I had my little encounter I mentioned it to a CM at the Royal Hall later and she actually asked if she could see the picture on my camera - she said it's so rare that she had never seen one out.

I believe it is such a rare occurrence because penguins, by nature, really don't care much for humans. That's why it's always best to not try to pet a penguin. Well unless you have some food for them, then it might be OK, but even then, the little nippers after snacking, might still nip you anyway just for the fun of it. Believe, I know. Lmao ;)

I saw them during the 50th anniversary of Mary Poppins Limited Time Magic event. It was in front of Disney Animation in DCA. They had a backdrop set up and Bert, Mary Poppins, and THREE penguins were there. Very adorable and the penguins kept "fighting" over who got to be the main penguin in the pictures, amongst other things. :D
