The only places we've been lucky enough to find shoes for DH, they have been close to $100. I definitely won't even spend half that much on shoes for myself - and I've got a shoe problem! He has some crocs flip flops, which are awesome... but... he now needs tennis shoes. The ones hes been wearing for the past 6 years are (finally!!!) falling apart. Any ideas?

Try J C Penney or if you have a DSW they also have 14s.

My son wears a 13.5 or a 14 wide. It's very hard to find that size. Usually he just asks the clerk what the carry in his size and they usually say "nothing". But doing it that way really save a lot of time.

Brad loves flip flops. I kept telling him to try the Crocs, no no, no. Well he finally did and loves them., but they're hard to find too.

My DH wears a 14 ,too.
It is very hard to find him shoes. He showed me a pair that was 50% for $249:sad2:

DH is a size 14 too. Just got a great deal at Reebok Outlet. If you have any outlet near you, they are having extremely good deals. There is an additional 15% off printable coupon online too. We shopped the clearance section and found 2 pairs that he liked. They were buy 1 get the 2nd 1/2 off and still took the 15 % coupon.

IF you have a "Shoe Department" near you, they have a good selection of 14's. My son wears a 16 so I have to shop online at Zappos.com. They have very good selections and can be pricey, but they have an excellent return policy and everything is received the day after I order. good luck! It's very frustrating!

Amazon.com My son takes a size 15 and I often find good deals on Amazon for Merrells, Nike etc. Good Luck

Sounds like a lot of our husbands and sons have feet like Fred Flintstone!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for the suggestions!

I ended up going the Amazon route... wow! I don't know why I never even thought of that! My DM extended her Amazon Prime privileges to us a few weeks ago, so yay for free express shipping! We ended up getting a pair for ~24$ that we both agreed on - what a miracle!

DH is a 16 or 17 depending on the shoe. We have to buy everything from zappos.com They don't carry his size anywhere. Everything is expensive. He just ordered two pairs of work shoes and 2 pairs of sandals it was over $300.

Try

final-score.com

It's Eastbay's clearance and I believe you can search by size.

Good luck.... I have DH (size 13) DS (size 13) and DS (size 14EEEE) to buy for so I feel your pain!

We order from a company called Oddballs. My DS who is 15 wears a size 15 shoe. It certainly makes it difficult to find shoes.

Ugh. Ds is a size 13 and he's only 13 years old!!!! I know we'll be up against this soon. I'm taking notes . . .

I think I would cry if we had to spend this much money on shoes!

I wear a 13 EEEE and get mine from New Balance. Recently there was a discount shoe store near me that had a buy-one, get half-off on second pair. I had them order two pair for me and so got one pair for half price.

we were just at D!ck's looking for baseball cleats. They had a clearance rack of shoes. Granted selection is limited, but there were some 14's on there. I want to say all were below $100, plus they were running a sale at that time for an additional % off. Can't remember if it was 25 or 50% more.

Which is why DH buys shoes every 2-3 years! I make him wear his shoes until they are in pieces. Its sad because he loves shoes, but he only has 2-3 pairs at a time!

I skimmed so not sure if anyone said this, sorry if I repeat.
My husband is a size 14-15 so I feel for you. He finds a lot of great shoes at Ross. He got a pair of Nike's there last year for under $20! He also has bought at least two pair (new) from Ebay really great prices from Ebay stores.

My husband is a 15 or 16, and I am familiar with this quandary.

I would like to second (or possibly third, I haven't read the second page of responses yet) oddball.com. They have a great selection of larger sized shoes at varying price points. Also, look at zappos.com. They don't have as wide a selection in larger shoe sizes, but sometimes you can find a good deal there and their customer service is really quite amazing. (They have free return shipping if you get the shoes and they don't fit. You really can't beat that.)
