Hi. I am Kim. I hope I am posting this in the right place. If not, can someone lead me in the right direction please? :) I am a stay at home mom of a 17 yo dd and a 10 yo ds.

This is my first time here on the board and we are going to WDW in 105 days. Yeah! This is our very first ever family vacation. Now, that would sound really great if I could say my children were 1 and 2 years old, but unfortunately they are already 17 and 10. I feel so guilty sometimes thinking my children do not have any fun family vacation memories to reminisce over , but I guess better late than never right? :)

It has always been a money issue why we have never been able to do go anywhere and now.......I am just so determined to make this trip happen. Especially with dd almost 18 and ready to fly the coop soon. I want us all to go as a family at least once.

I got an email from Disney 2 weeks ago with a great price with a pin # (at least my friend that practically lives at Disney said it is really good) so now I am really trying to make this happen....garage sales, doggie sitting, my dh is selling water bottles off his tool truck, etc. lol. Whatever we can do, we are going. :)

We have reservations at ASM and we WILL be going Nov 29 - Dec 4. I am really hoping that will be a good time to go with minimal lines but since the weekend is right during the 4 day holiday, I am guessing it might be pretty busy. Am I right on that one? Also, my 24 yo step dd is coming back from Iraq on Nov 1 YEAH! so I think this will be so nice for her after breathing dust and heat for 7 months. She is really looking forward to the trip too but at this point is still uncertain if she can go. She really won't know for sure until it gets closer to the dates. But we are praying for her safe return AND believing all this will work out. I would just love for us all to have a chance to bond together like never before. This is definitely a dream of mine and has been for years now.

Now, as for my question (sorry it has taken me so long to get to ), where can I order 5 matching shirts? I have looked all around the Disney store and just can not find 5 that are the same and in the right sizes. I just want us all to have one. I think it would be really nice for our first day there. And amazingly, everyone is willing to wear them. lol.

I really liked ones that just said Disney on them but the whole family had a different color shirt. Is there a good place to find what I am looking for? I figured this is the place to ask. Thanks so much. :-)

Hi. I am new here and wondering where you guys recommend getting family t shirts? I want to try to get all of us a matching shirt for just one day since this will be our first time ever going. I have looked on the Disney website but can't find matching ones, or even shirts that are different colors, etc. I will find like all navy shirts and then they are out of size L and S. Or, some other combo like that.

Any suggestions? Amazingly all 3 kids and husband have agreed to this. lol. And the kids are 24, 17 and 10.

Thanks. :)

I was thinking about buying plain t-shirts and making them myself. What did you have in mind to be on them? I am going Oct 2nd through the 7th so I was thinking a halloween theme but can't decide on what to put on them.

OT, but scrappinggirl, you need to remove the from the end of your ticker siggy and add

:welcome:
You can make your own shirts! There are some wonderful DISigners over on the DISigns board...find a DISign you like, print it out on transfer paper and then iron on a shirt! If I can do it, you can do it! :thumbsup2

I am starting to think that too although I might check into this other website she just suggested. We are going at Christmas time but really want a shirt with a character but not a holiday theme. Only because I want to be able to wear it all year round. You know what I mean? Now if I could, I would buy more than one set of shirts and definitely make a Christmas one. I think your Halloween ones would be great. :)

Hi LoveToScrap. I put this in the wrong place. lol. Thank you very much. I will check into those. I am really excited this being our first trip and all. Plus I hear Christmas time is REALLY magical there. Can't wait. Just 105 days! :)

Because you made 2 posts here asking the same question I have merged them into one thread.

That was funny. I was wondering what happened all of a sudden. lol. I was thinking maybe my first post was too long so decided to post a shorter one. Now its double long but that is ok. lol.

I am new to message board things so I might goof up here and there but I am a fast learner. ;)

No problem! You are going at a good time, but it is a bit close to Thanksgiving. Plan to take it easy the first few days until the crowds slow down.

Have you bought tickets to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party? It is extra, but worth it for Christmas magic! And make sure you get your Advanced Dining Reservations ASAP for any sit down meals you might want.

That's okay, we are very tolerant!:goodvibes It is just better if we merge 2 threads by the same person asking the same question into one. People get confused otherwise. Check out that zazzle link I just posted, lots of neat looking options there!

In fact I may need to see about those for my trip coming up! I have always done matching T-shirts and sweatshirts for my family and friends. It is so much fun and you will definitely find you are not the only ones!

I havent done the not so scary one, but am looking into the very merry christmas thing. We are currently doing the budget now so I am not sure about it right now. Being there with my family for our first vacation ever will be a Christmas to remember for me for sure. So, do you think just that Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving will be busy and then slow down? Our first day there will be the Sat after Thanksgiving.

Oh, and yes I do have ADP already. My disney friend told me that one. We couldn't get into the Ohana at all but that is ok. Can't wait.

DUH! That is what I meant, the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Yep, I think you will have some good crowds on Saturday, and some of Sunday, but most people will be heading home on Sunday. Then you should be good come Monday.

Here is my best tip on the Christmas Party. USUALLY (I can't promise) they start letting you into the park around 4:00. Since you don't have to use a day off of your park ticket if you have the Christmas party ticket you can spend the morning at Downtown Disney or checking out the resorts --Gingerbread displays at the Grand Flordian and the Yacht and Beach Club are cool!!!-- then get to MK between 4 and 5 and start enjoying yourself! You will save a full day on your park tickets (meaning you can buy one less or use a day you might not have) and still get a good 8 hours or so in the park assuming you stay until midnight.

Thanks for that info, it helped me to understand what it is about. However, I don't think that will work for us this trip though. We got a 5 night/6 day package and our 6th day will be cut short because we have to leave at noon that day for work purposes. So, we couldn't really use it to our benefit it seems like because we HAD to buy the 6 days, but can't stay longer. Thats ok though. It is going to be a very Merry Christmas no matter what. :)
