I called a few months ago I called and I had a free dining pin that I quickly used for POFQ. The problem however is that they only had river view rooms available. So I have been calling every week to see if any other rooms became available with this promo. I didn't receive an email with the pin code so I don't know the number. Is there any way to find the number so I can check availability myself with one of the links on the DIS instead of calling? Thanks

I think you need to get it from the WDW next time you call.Once you do, you can check keep checking online to see what pops up..

The link wont work unless you have the pin code and the last name zip tied to it....

I called and they said they"couldn't find " my UOC number, but had my 5 digit booking code they used. I call BS because I originally booked with the visa free dining at Caribbean beach and threatened to cancel saying my heart was set on POFQ. Then they said a pin code magically appeared, and I never received it via email. Is it possible there was one attached to my name, ofcourse. I think it is more likely that they gave me what I wanted because I was going to cancel. Any thoughts?

If they just booked it to placate you they probably just used the booking code. They don't technically need an individual pin. The pin just directs them to whatever deal it's offering.

You'll have to just keep calling to check if that's the case. It's not really the fault if the CM, so hopefully you aren't giving them a hard time about it. Sounds like they already did you a solid to put you in POFQ.

I'm in a similar situation. After calling weekly and doing everything I could think of to get a FD pin, I finally was granted the promo by a very nice CM a few weeks ago. While she said I had a UOC for free dining, a second CM on a later phone call was unable to find the actual pin code and saw only a 5-digit code instead. I never received an email or document with a pin code, but my resort confirmation shows that we are booked with free dining.

I've been considering trying to upgrade from POP to one of the moderates, but I'm terrified of calling and finding out that I never really had a FD pin code in the first place. I think there are still a few CMs who secretly give out fairy dust, and my impression is the other CMs cover their backs to avoid getting anyone in trouble.

I wouldn't rock the boat too much and draw attention to a pin code that may not actually exist, but that's just my 2 cents. :)

I would never think of giving them a hard time. I was just trying to state that I believe if your nice enough and stress that you really would love to go, sometimes Disney "finds" a way. If anything I am always very, very polite on the phone with Disney.

You would have no problem calling to ask for one of the moderates. Every time I ask to see if a standard room is available at POFQ they let me know they still have availability at riverside also. So switching resorts should not be a problem. I also agree about not rocking the boat, I was simply stating that it seems not everyone has a pin code that got free dining , and I am glad I did get free dining, however it is frustrating that I cannot search for availability by myself. Oh well, I'll just keep calling every few weeks.
