Where to find cheap eats at Universal Studios & Hard Rock Hotel?

If I want something decent (not too imaginative - just your basic, healthy, normal food - chicken fingers, baked potatoe, and the like) where can I find something reasonably priced at Universal Studios and Hard Rock Hotel? Suggestions?

Is there a cheap breakfast offered?

What restaurant do you recommend for City Walk (not expensive - that offers regular food)?

I don't know if yall are like me , but 5 days of eating "fancy dishes" is a little hard on the stomach...

At HRH, try the continental breakfast buffer in the Sunset Grill. They have all sorts of pastries, bread, cereal, and sandwich meats. It's about $8 and I think it's the best bang for the buck.

The cheapest thing you can get are turkey legs for $5. You can try to eat a big chocolate chip cookie for lunch for $2, but the sugar will slow you down.

If you're a hearty eater, try the lunch buffet at the Motown Cafe. It's about $11 per person.

As for other meals around the park, I would expect to pay $8-$10 per person per meal.

What types of food can we expect to see at the
Motown buffet?

Thanks so much!

Take care,
Donica

If you like nacho's, they had a HUGE plate of "Volcano Nachoes" at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville at City Walk. I'm a nacho lover and these "appetizers" (HA!) completely filled me up and I ended up having them as dinner instead.

I constantly swear up and down that this is one of the best food buys I came across at City Walk. But then again, I probably need some more practice... ;)

I have not heard a lot of good reports about the food at Motown so i have avoided it

I agree on the downward trend of food quality at Motown. When they got rid of the sweet potato fries (explaining that they were too hard to make) I knew things were heading in the wrong direction.

OTOH, Puffy2 specifically said he/she was not interested in "fancy" so maybe the Motown buffet would fit the bill. I've only given the hairy eyeball but it looks like pretty standard steam table fare to me and, if you're a big eater, it could be worth the budget price.

Hi all,

Based on what you guys are telling me. I'm going to steer away
from Motown.

Thanks everyone for your responses!
