My DS (8) loves to collect autographs. He wants to know which characters he can see and where to find them. We will see Mickey and "friends" at our Chef Mickey breakfast, but wonder where to find some of the more unusual characters?

There are usually several characters near the entrance/exit at MK. EPCOT has character greetings in the countries. At MGM, near the Little Mermaid area (not sure what that area is called), characters come out at the "trailers" for autographs at certain times.

Also at MGM they are infront of the big sorcerer hat.

If you go to guest relations at the park entrances they can tell you where a given character will be when. That's the most sure-fire way to find characters.

Characters can truly be found all over. Some of the more rare characters or rare spots we've found:

Epcot:
The international gateway entrance to Epcot is known to have princesses from time to time. In the last year we've seen Snow White and Princess Aurora there.
Also we've seen Spacesuit Goofy just outside the entrance of Mouse Gear in a small alcove. If you're not looking you'll just walk right by!!

MK:
We've never come across characters in any unusal spots here other than during MNSSHP. On our March '04 trip though Snow White and all 7 dwarves came out in and marched through Toontown. Also Goofy and Max are known to hang out by the Barnstormer.

AK:
Once again haven't seen rare characters or rare spots here. However at the end of the day there are usually a handful of characters outside the gates for autographs.

MGM:
The Incredibles are currently at the end of the Animation Studio tour. We've seen the most villians here near the large hat. As well as some other's we just never seem to be able to get anywhere else--- like Mulan and Poccohantas. As well as the "snow queen".

When you go into each park get an information sheet (with the park maps) - it will tell you all the information you need about that park, including when and where to meet the characters. Try to get there a few minutes before the set time and you can get a jump on the line. We did that at EPCOT near the international gateway and we got to be first in line for Goofy.

We love autographs, too! Where do I even begin to answer your question? :teeth:

There are some good spots to check to see a variety of characters:

At Magic Kingdom, check "Town Square" - the large right after you enter, where City and Exposition Hall are, and the circle in the middle. Characters rotate in and out mainly throughout the morning. We seen some cool ones here - like Robin Hood, Pinocchio, Darkwing Duck, Baloo, Cruella, Aurora, and so many others! And like most locations, the character lineup changes day to day. :)

Also check the whole circle in front of the Castle. The meeting times here are usually listed in the Times Guide that you get with your park map when you enter. Walk all the way around the circle in front of the Castle - some characters are right in front of the Castle, and some are around the sides, and sometimes even in the middle. We seen classic characters here (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Donald, Daisy) as well as more unusual like the Three Pigs, Foulfellow, Suzy and Perla Mouse, Penguins, Country Bears, and so many more! :smooth:

At Epcot, Check the Times Guide for the "Characters on Holiday" Bus. This red bus has about 10 characters on it, and it drives around Epcot making stops in certain areas. It's last stop is around 3:00 or 4:00ish. The Times Guide has all the locations and times listed as to when and where the bus stops. We seen so many different character on it! :)

At Animal Kingdom, check the area where you enter, near the bag check and the ticket turnstiles. There are usually a bunch of characters rotating in and out during the day. We seen Timon, Pluto, Rafiki, Prince John, Mushu and many more there. :flower:

At MGM, there are two good places to check. One is the Big Hat, and the areas all in front of it. We seen Lilo and Stitch, Pooh and Tigger or Eeyore, Chip and Dale, and classics (Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Pluto) there. This location is listed in the Times Guide. The other spot is right after entering MGM. Here you may meet some GREAT characters, like Cruella, Snow Queen, Mary Poppins and Penguin, Hercules and Phil, Phoebus, Jafar, Mulan, Pocahontas, Meeko, and so many more. The Entrance meeting schedule is not listed in the Times Guide (as least last time I checked) but I think they start meeting either at 11:00 or 11:30, and stop around 2:30 or 2:00. Both the Big Hat and the Entrance characters meet for about a half hour, and then leave for a half hour.

Gosh, I could go on and on! But those locations get a nice rotation of different characters each day. Hope you find tons of characters on your trip! :) :)
