Hey all,

We are travelling in Dec for 7 nights(2 adults and 1 child) and we have no idea where to eat. We currently have the dining plan booked but not paid for and we are trying to decide whether to get it or not. We are hoping to eat at least one meal per day at a different resort\theme park. If you had to pick one place to eat each night(including downtown Disney) what would you pick either for lunch or dinner?

We just returned and the dining plan was wonderful for us! It is so stressfree-you do not have to budget money each day and you can order anything off the menus-including an appetizer, entree, dessert & beverage. Plus tax & tips are included! And you can eat anywhere from counter service to signature restaurants-and everywhere in between!
Deciding where to eat is another story! A great deal of fun-just can get a bit overwhelming!
Have you looked at the menus on www.allears.net ? That is a great place to start!
I am sure you will get alot of posts on everyones favs.! Here are our 2 favs:
Teppanyaki in Japan (EPCOT) for dinner
Tangierine Cafe in Morocco (EPCOT) for lunch

Do you have a boy or girl? Age? I'm sure you will want to do some character meals. I'll give some suggestions based on that. Also, are you picky eaters?

OK, I'll give you my top 7 choices:

1. Ohana (Poly).
2. Chef Mickey (Contemporary).
3. Liberty Tree Tavern (MK)
4. Beaches n' Cream (Y&BC)
5. SciFi Theater (MGM)
6. Le Cellier (Epcot)
7. Palio (Swan)
Honorable mention: The Plaza (MK)

These are not in any particular order, but we try to hit most of them each trip.

Wcc, Brown Derby ( boo that it's 2 ts), lecellier, trail's end, berigarten, chefs( though many have panned it lately so don't know what 's up)

tangerine cafe and sommerset, pop food court( really good deal for the special dinner imo) for cs.

Hi, we're going for our first time this December also. I've been reading this board and allearsnet since January trying to plan everything. I've read lots of restaurant reviews here and they've all been very helpful. Based on what people have said, these are my choices:

Epcot: Le Cellier (dinner); Rose and Crown (lunch); San Angel (lunch)

MGM: 50's Prime Time; Sci Fi Dine Inn; Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic) (I would like to do Mama Melrose myself, but I know my boys (12, 10, 7) would probably not enjoy it so much)

Magic Kingdom: Columbia Harbor House & Pecos Bill(counter service); Crystal Palace (breakfast); maybe Liberty Tree Tavern

Animal Kingdom: Tusker House; maybe Flame Tree Barbeque

at the resorts: 'Ohana (at Polynesian); Whispering Canyon (at Wilderness Lodge); Cape May character breakfast (at Beach Club); maybe Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness; Bluezoo (at Dolphin - your child can go for 2 hours of free daycare at Camp Dolphin while you eat!!!)

Downtown Disney: Earl of Sandwich

Hope this helps. I think these are all great choices. Check out the menus at allearsnet.com
