Ok, so we've been trying to decide on which restaurants we are going to eat at during our upcoming trip. We've been to Disney a lot of times, so obviously, we've eaten at many of the restaurants already... So here's a list of ones that we haven't been to yet that we are considering:

- Cinderella's Royal Table for Dinner (Is it REALLY worth the price??)
- Le Cellier
- Chefs de France
- Chef Mickey's
- Hollywood and Vine
- Brown Derby

Please tell me your opinions on the restaurants listed... and let me know which ones are a "must-eat-at-it" I guess. Also, give other suggestions if you'd like... Chances are, we may have eaten there before though...thanks!!

Cinderella's Royal Table for Dinner (I don't think it's worth the price!) I think however everyone should to it once just for the castle experince.

Chef's Mickey's is a fav of ours and I think it's a must do , the food is so so but the service and characters are excellent !

Hollywood & Vine is soo good one of the the best buffets in WDW in my opinion others might disagree but we love it !

Hope this helps you out princess:

Hi! I don;t have as much disney experience as others, but I can offer some help on your dining questions.

First of all, if you are going to Cinderella's Royal Table, do it at lunchtime. It's much easier to score a reservation for lunch, and the lunch menu offers different items than dinner. My 6-y.o. daughter and I had lunch at the castle 09/25/08, and it was worth every penny. I had the dining plan, but I paid out-of-pocket for our meal since it was just the two of us (my fiancee used the time we were gone to ride his fave MK rides). We had a lot of time with the princesses (we didn't feel rushed), and our meals were both really good (although my daughter didn't eat much of her entree in anticipation of seeing the princesses). I had the major domo pie, and the chocolate buckle for dessert - it was so good! The pic w/Cinderella turned out great, and it was included in the price (so is gratuity, another bonus). Service was great, very friendly. I know somepeople don't like to do table-service at lunchtime, but it was really nice there.

We did Chef Mickey's on 9/26 before the Halloween party. The staff there was very polite as well, offering to take our pics w/characters. The buffet isn't spectacular (i would compare it to Ryan's), but it has plenty to satisfy even picky eaters. The dessert bar is fantastic! Character interaction was excellent, we took lots of pics. Mickey danced with my daughter, it was priceless. My daughter loved twirling her napkin in the air during the "celebrations" (every 30 minutes, there were 2 while we were there). I've heard breakfast is great there, hope to find out on our next trip. It would be a great place to celebrate a birthday!

Some others we really enjoyed were:
- Tokyo Dining in Epcot (AMAZING service, some of the best we've EVER had - including outside of WDW). My fiancee says they have the best sushi in WDW, my little girl liked the monorail dish her meal was presented in.
- Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House - great for characters! Breakfast buffet was plentiful!

I hope this helps. I'm hoping to get ADR's for Le Cellier and Les Chefs de France for our next trip (09/09) myself, I've heard they are top-notch. Good luck! Hope u have a fantastic trip!

Chef Mickey's is fun - we liked it for breakfast, not so much for dinner.

We went to Brown Derby last trip, I was very disappointed. I just didn't see what the big hoopla was all about - it didn't seem very "signature-y" to me. And we were paying OOP with the TiW card and I still thought it was expensive for what you got.

Le Cellier - we enjoyed Le Cellier in November (just DH and me) - the food was very good, service was good. It's very crowded in there and loud. I'd go there again, but I don't consider it to be the best or anything - I know everyone's dying to go there, but I didn't think it was that special.

The others I haven't been to.

CRT - I thought it was worth it just for the experience of it. Now that we've done it though, I doubt we'll do it again anytime soon. We loved it, but there are more places we want to try.

Le Cellier - Absolutely love this one. We eat here every trip. Fantastic service, yummy food!

Brown Derby - Love this one too. Granted it's expensive, but we've always had great service and fabulous food. If DH had his way, we'd be eating here more often.

Unfortunately I haven't tried the others. We were going to try Chef Mickey's, but dropped it in favor of Boma.

Other must-do's for us... Coral Reef, Crystal Palace and Teppan Edo. There are others, but we eat at those three at least twice each, each trip.

Le Cellier-great atmosphere and servers. If you're not a big meat eater, I'd skip it. Their main food selections are steaks. I'm not a big meat eater but the rest of my family members are so we ate there. I had my first steak there. Everyone else loved their food.

Chefs de France-My favorite dinner of the trip! Everyone found something they liked. Service was excellent, not once did our server mention paying gratuities and the meal was also very relaxed. It was the only meal where we didn't feel rushed. This for me is a must do. Our reservations were for 7:50pm and we were just starting dessert when Illuminations started, it was great!

Chef Mickey-we had breakfast and loved it! There was a wide variety of food and each character was great about stopping to interact and take pics with all of us. Our server was also really friendly and outgoing. Prompt with plate cleaning and drink refills.

CRT- we haven't been there but here is my opinion based on reviews I've read. The food isn't all that great for the price and you don't get much time with Cinderella. If your main goal is seeing Cinderella, try 1900 PF for dinner. The food is ok. The prime rib according to my FIL is "excellent." Plus you get to see and interact with Cinderella, Prince Charming, etc.

We love Hollywood Brown Derby and we do feel it is worth the 2 TS. We also really enjoy Chefs de France. Have not been to Hollywood and Vine.

Our 2 experiences at LeCellier have been good, but it seems to have a reputation that is way beyond the reality. We did enjoy the beer and cheddar cheese soup. And the chocolate mousse is a .....moose!

Chef Mickey's for breakfast is fine. Not the best breakfast on property IMHO but enough options to satisfy anyone, and you are there for the characters anyway.

My 2 cents! Enjoy your trip!!!!!

We absolutely loved Le Cellier last year but this year it was truly horrible. The service was bad, food was bad. We were all disappointed.

We really like H&V - reviews on the dis are usually not favorable but we have eaten here for dinner the past 2 trips and have enjoyed it both times. The chocolate mousse is delicious!

We have had both breakfast and dinner at CMs. Breakfast was not good - but we had a fairly late ADR and the place was overly packed. It was just crazy - service (to bring drinks and replenish the buffet) was poor. We didn't even meet all the characters because it was so busy.
We much preferred dinner - the prime rib and parmesan mashed potatoes are great.

Haven't been to the others

- Chef Mickey's - one of our favorites
- Hollywood and Vine - enjoyed the breakfast, not the dinner

I travel with my DH and my now 10 year old on the DDP>

In the past 5 years I have only been to LeCellier, Chef M's and H&V

LeCellier is a do not miss.

H&V is the best non-signature restaurant in HS but we usually don't do a TS meal there at all.

Chef M's atmosphere is fun for kids under 7 but all of the other character buffets have much better food. Both Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fair have very good fun.

Our other do not miss choices are Boma and Kona. We also really liked Coral Reef and Cape May on our last trip and will try Cali Grille, the Wave and the Grand Fl Cafe on our next trip.

Whatever you decide will be good. All of the restaurants and buffets have something for everyone so don't stress and have fun!

Definitely should try Chef Mickey's (at least for breakfast, I've never had dinner), and Le Cellier, they are both great!

I didn't care much for the food at CRT and didn't really think it was worth it- IMO. Depends on how badly you'd like to try it, maybe at least once. I haven't eaten at any of the others.

I love CRT, and the pic package, princesses and gratuity make it *fairly* worth the money. Dinner has more of a Cinderella "show", bf and lunch have the princesses come to the tables. We will probably continue to go while DD is little (getting bigger by the day:upsidedow ). If you've been a bunch and have eaten everywhere, I'd say you pretty much have to try it by now! :thumbsup2

H&V was "ok", it gets awful reviews on the DIS. I thought it was fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Haven't tried the others, but will be going to LeCellier and Chef Mickey in Feb. Hope they're great!

The only one on your list I've eaten at was LeCellier and we loved it. We ate there on our '98 trip and my sister STILL talks about it. LOL

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP EVERYONE!!!!!!!

Ok, so here's what we decided....

We decided to skip CRT-- It was just very pricey for dinner, and seeing the princesses is not a priority for us.

We did book Chef Mickey's for our first night. (don't worry we're leaving early in the morning, so even if there is a flight delay, we should still get there).

And we also plan on booking Le Cellier and Chefs de France as our trips gets closer.

Thanks again!

I'm biased because I've only been to Le Cellier (when I remember, I went to CRT when I was little), but it's phenomenal. Very good steaks (and my grandfather's a butcher). I really enjoyed the mushroom risotto, and the ambience, although the tables are tight and our neighbors looked very rudely at me when I photographed my food (for the DIS of course!)

But it's yummy and a good use of a 1 table credit.
