hi we have made all of our adr's for april and are a bit stumped as to where we should make adr's ts for our animal kingdom day which also happens to be easter sunday! we are staying at allstar movies and are relying on disney transportation. we ae trying to avoid the mk on easter so i was thinking of boma but not finding the menu too appetizing so .............where else could we eat ts that wouldn;t make us switch buses too much??? i was thinking of chef mickeys but how long would it take for us to get there? :sunny:

The only TS in AK I believe is the Rainforest Cafe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though...

Chef Mickey's is delicious. No idea how long the bus ride is from there though. Whispering Canyon Cafe is AWESOME!! Lots of fun.
1900 Park Fare (haven't eaten there, but heard it's great)
Cape May Cafe (haven't eaten there either but they have good Oreo Bon Bons according to several people I talked to)

Hope that helps!

I think you'd really like Boma if you gave it a try. There's lots to choose from and besides you would then get to walk around that gorgeous resort and see the animals from the viewing sites. Give it another thought.

Boma is excellant - there is a very wide variety of things to eat. The Prime Rib is super!

The other reply is sooo correct, there is a lot to see walking around AKL. It is a great place.

If you are using Disney transporation applies....

However you will still need to take a bus from AK to get to the resort. It is certianly a quicker ride than going to the CR in the MK area.

Keep in mind that the bus services will work from AK only about an hour past closing, and AK closes early. You will need to find a transfer area ( Epcot or DTD) when the dinner is over.

Boma is fantastic, there is something for everyone and everything is delicious.

There is also Jiko there.

You have the food court at the all stars, they will probably offer something good, as they do the carved meats at dinner time.

I would take the bus from AK to AKL, have dinner and then hop a cab over to all stars, they are very close and the cost would be minimal.

Boma would be a good choice

For CM's you could take the bust from AK to CR and then walk over to the MK bus stop after dinner and take the bus back to ASMo

Consider Breakfastasaurus for your TS in the AM and then hit CS in the late afternoon. Otherwise I would choose something at a resort as others have suggested take that resort bus back to the resort from AK--wouldn't be too long. To get back to your resort if it is a monorail resort take the MK buses back to your resort, an Epcot resort would allow boat transportation to MGM so you could catch a bus or take the other reosrts bus to DTD and transfer to your reorts bus there.

We like Boma. We tried Jiko for the first time and it was fabulous. The service was great and the atmosphere very relaxed and special. We will definitely go back.

We left AK one afternoon and had a great dinner at Kona Cafe. We took the Poly bus from AK, then after our meal we caught the monorail to MK and caught our resort bus from there.

If you have a park hopper pass and you haven't already made an ADR for another day, you may want to try Hollywood Brown Derby, Mama Melrose's or Hollywood & Vine at MGM. MGM is a short bus ride from AK and will offer direct bus service back to All Star Movies when you are done. Alternately, I would go with Jiko or Boma at AKL and enjoy that resort. I think on Easter I would avoid the whole MK area, resorts and all.

if you wanted to go to chef mickeys from ak then you could just hop the contemporary bus it doesn't take that long tops 20 min.

I agree go over to Boma's at the AKL. :Pinkbounc
