We are staying at the Beach Club and trying to decide where to dine on the boardwalk. We would like to either try a place on the boardwalk or within our hotel for dinner. Any suggestions??? We have never tried anything over there so we are open to suggestions. It is myself, dh and our dd who is 4. Thank you!

Have to do Beaches and Cream at least once. Burgers and ice cream!

For some upscale, check out the Flying Fish.

If you want a Mediterranean flair, go to Kouzzina.

Your DD would probably love the character meal at Cape May Cafe in the BC. We did the breakfast there a few weeks ago and loved it.

Definitely try Kouzzina if you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. My family had dinner there for the first time in January and all left impressed. It quickly became one of my favorite restaurants on property. I realize the reviews have been mixed, especially when the place first opened, but I enthusiastically recommend it.

And leave time for at least one meal at Beaches & Cream. It is one of the nicest perks of staying in the Epcot area.

Definitely Beaches and Cream...I love the Yachtsman Steakhouse as well. BW has some good options, I like ESPN Club but sometimes can be pricey

Beaches and Cream is a TS, and it's very good.

As for places to eat, DH and my favorite is ESPN. I know a lot of people knock it, but it's great food, casual, fun, and a pretty decent price, too. We go there at least once a trip.

You can't make reservations for B&C can you? When is the best time to go for dinner?

Nope...no ADRs.

It will obviously be busier at lunch and dinner hours. My DD and I have frequented there often and getting there about 7pm (during the fall/winter months anyway) never meant waiting more than 15-20 min.

We were there in January and tried a lot of places. I would echo the raves for Beaches and Cream - we had a great time there. Flying Fish was good, but not anything magical. I went out of my way to show the kids the cooking area to make it more interesting. It was also expensive. The restaurant at the Yacht Club was yummy and great service. We also enjoyed ESPN - pretty good food, fun and not too expensive.

Have fun!

We loved the Flying Fish - it was excellent. We ate there to celebrate our 10th anniversary and all the dishes were wonderful.

Beaches and Cream is really great, too, but if you're doing dining plan and are starting to get crunched on TS planned credits, you might consider paying for that one out-of-pocket. It's one of the cheapest TS options from what I understand.

We also liked sitting out on the boardwalk and eating an early dinner (like 4-5pm) at Big River Grille. It for some odd reason doesn't get rave reviews on allears, but both my kids liked their meals and my hubby and I both had a mahi mahi sandwich that was awesome! Maybe we just got lucky?? :)

Definitely Cape May Cafe for the character breakfast (lots of interaction with the characters - I think they came around 3x while we were there) and sometime later for the Clam Bake at night. Both were very good.

Yachtsman Steakhouse - we had that on our honeymoon and it was very good, but that was 10 years ago, so I can't say if it's still as good. I've read many positive reviews though :)

sorry I can't comment on the others as we haven't tried them...hoping to get into BCV this year and maybe try some more...

hth...

We chose Yachtman as our Boardwalk restaurant for our next trip. I love steak!

Flying Fish was on our list but I'm not a big seafood person.

Since you're on the dining plan, if you have the 2 TS credits to use, go with Flying Fish. If you only have 1 TS credit, go with Kouzzina, Cape May Cafe, or Beaches and Cream.

As others have said, Beaches and Cream is considerably less money than other TS restaurants, similar to a Johnny Rockets hamburger/hot dog place. It's really up to you to decide whether you want to use a TS credit here or pay out of pocket and save the credit for a 2 TS restaurant.

Flying Fish is amazing!!!! This is a MUST do for us EVERY trip. Don't let the name fool you, the non-seafood meals are incredible too. The steak is probably the best on property.

Not a meal as such, but I've never eaten anything at Boardwalk before this past trip in March. I would like to say that the Peanut Butter brownie from the bakery is hands down the best dessert I have had on Disney property.

We've stayed at BC the last 3 times...and BCV upcoming in May...

Here are my thoughts...

Beaches & Cream - ONLY eat there if OOP
Cape May BUffet (dinner) - NOT a "destination" restaurant...we've eaten there 3 times and it's okay to please a picky family of FIve....BUT I wouldn't travel to eat there...

We are hoping to try
Kouzzinas in May
Kimono's (sushi @ The Swan) in May

I would love to try Flying FIsh in a future trip.....

Hugs,
Mary

Big River Grille is a must on every trip for us. DH and I discovered while staying at the Boardwalk on a "secret" trip without the kids, and it was fabulous. Excellent pulled pork bbq sandwich and the best mashed potatoes anywhere! We took the kids back for lunch on our next trip and it was only about $35 for the 4 of us. Our kids are "adults" by Disney standards, so it's difficult for us to have a nice meal so affordably. I consider it a table service restaurant with counter service prices. We don't do the dining plan because we try to eat 2 meals a day in the villa. Now we walk over to the boardwalk from Epcot or DHS just because we like it so much! We ate outside last time and it was very relaxing.

Flying Fish-one of my top 5 favorite restaurants

Kouzzina-I love it, the rest in my party thought it was OK.
