Okay, so we are spending one of our days at AK on our visit in January, but we don't know where to eat dinner. I am not too sure about Boma because my husband and son are picky eaters and don't like to try anything new. Can anyone give me some suggestions on where to go for a TS dinner that day? We will be on the DDP, so Rainforest Cafe is out of the question too! Thanks!

I could be wrong but I think Boma is in the AK resort not the AK park?

I am pretty sure that The Rainforest Cafe is the only TS restaurant for dinner. We also purchased the dining plan and are paying out of pocket or that meal.

I'm sure someone will be able to clarify the answer I've given you. :upsidedow :wizard:

Yes, Boma is in AKL, not the park, but the OP is asking where to go on the AK day. In that case, AKL's restaurants are great choices since it's so close.

Boma does have plenty of food for picky eaters, though. I'd go for it anyway. :thumbsup2

Oh! I didn't realize that AKL was close to AK. That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. :cutie:

I was just trying to figure out a place we could eat that would be close rather than having to travel. Maybe we will try Boma..........

tusker house should be a TS buffet by then. I have heard It will have foods very similar to boma.

Flame Tree BBQ is my favorite at AK and they do a good job at smoking meat.

There is a new TS opening at AK supposedly in October, the Yak and Yeti. Also, the Tusker House will become a TS buffet in November I believe. This will give AK two TS restaurants. It is yet to be seen if the Yak & Yeti will be on the DDP or not.

You should for sue try Bomas, it is GREAT! A couple of our kids are picky and they loved Bomas. Plus the resort is very nice to walk around at;)

Im trying to figure out the same thing...im leaning towards the somewhere on the boardwalk? Anyone have suggestions? Flying Fish is 2 TS, we only have one left...Please Help!

The Maya Grill is close by at CSR. I haven't eaten there, and I've actually read mixed reviews, but I thought I'd throw out anther option.

Don't be shy about Boma for picky eaters. There are lots of options with old standbys, like the ever-present prime rib. You don't have to try the Africanized stuff to get...stuffed. I'm very picky, too, and I was miserable after both times I ate at Boma.
