Honestly, no idea. If it was just me or just my family I would say get out, but we are traveling with others so trying to go with the flow a tiny bit.

I am having a hard time picking a sit down meal for a Friday in November, we will spend the day in MK before hoping to Epcot around 4-6 depending how our day at MK goes. It’s a Halloween party day so latest we hop is 6.

I’m all over the map, eat at 5 at MK? Eat at an MK resort? Epcot resort? Epcot?

We are a party of 8, 4 adults, 4 kids (14,9,9,5). I debated Via Napoli it’s fast, good, and everyone will enjoy it, but half the group just spent a month in Italy and we are from NJ so I always feel funny eating pizza in Disney….

Other spots I considered Ale and Compass but worried going to a resort will eat too much time. Space but takes so long and don’t live the prefix.

What do you suggest?

ETA we like all types of food, only the 5 year old is picky and we won’t accommodate/skip a place because of that, we can always grab her quick service or something else.

Where are you staying so we have a sense of where you want to be when you exit Epcot? Are you offsite? Do you have a car?

On site, no car, staying at Coronado, but open to going to beach and ubering home if we end closer to international gateway

If I have the choice between MK restaurants and EPCOT (particularly World Showcase) restaurants, EPCOT wins every time. Food is not MK's strong suit (though I agree with others that Skipper Canteen is the best of the options in that park).

I agree with a previous poster that MK restaurants are not great. If you feel like going over to the BC area, we love the Yachtsman (it's not cheap) but it's a lovely atmosphere and might be a nice relaxing break in the day.

As far as Epcot restaurants go, the Creperie is suprisingly good and we really enjoyed it but I would recommend it more as a brunch/lunch type place. It's been awhile but I love Chefs de France.

The nice thing about popping over to the Yachtsman is that you can enter Epcot through France and end in the transportation area if you don't need to do all of it just finish up with the walk on the longer side....

We did Space but we did the lounge. If you can do the lounge you can basically order a la carte most of what is on the prix fixe menu and you would need to probably split your ressies which can be a hassle but might work.

Le Cellier is also really nice.

I think there is a bit of an advantage of going to BC. You can take a resort bus from MK and then hit Epcot starting in France. IMHO, I don't think that is bad strategy. The BC/YC resort is not huge and when you get off the bus you'll be on the YC side and right by the restaurants and then it's a pretty short walk over to Epcot.

I think I’m leaning Skipper Canteen at the moment for around 5….

In EPCOT (France) Les Halles Boulagerie-Patisserie. You can get a sandwich, coffee and croissant. Good anytime meal.

Agree with other posters. Maximize your day at MK and eat at Skipper Canteen. Then you can exit the park at a nice slow pace afterwards.

We love Rose&Crown but that's specific food. Also a yes for Biergarten. I wouldn't bother in MK.

What are you planning to do at Epcot? One thing to keep in mind--if you wanted to eat right when you get to Epcot, some of the restaurants, like Via Napoli, will be a long walk from the entrance. Then it might throw off the flow of the park when you are finished. That might not be an issue if you were planning on focusing on WS. But if you wanted to ride GotG etc, it might be a lot of walking back and forth. I would want to maximize my time and not have to double back too much.

In this situation, as much as I love Napoli and Biergarten, I would eat at MK (Skippers or Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree). There are a few good places there. I like to have a sit down meal to break up the day if I'm going to be there open to close.

If you were set on eating at Epcot, I would suggest the Mexican Pavilion. The location is closer to the entrance, and it gives you options to go back to the front of the park, or start WS as a whole after dinner.
